I said it before, I am totally confused by this picture. Red Serbian passport next to 2 US passports... Who was planning to leave the country?? BW is not possible given his house arrest, so Ana and the kids? But only 2 US passports...why not 1 for each of the 3 kids? Where is the 3rd US passport?

And why are they out on the kitchen table at all? If on Jan 1 BW is planning to go to federal prison in a few days and AW is planning to take the kids to DC to live with her who needs to get passports ready for some travel??

I wondered if perhaps LE left them there after searching the house. Maybe they got them all out to make sure all of Ana's were accounted for and she hadn't left the country.

When we went to the U.K. with our 7 year old daughter in 1978, she was included on my passport. I wonder if one of those U.S.passports belongs to BW with the oldest child included on his before the other two were born. The other passport could be for the two younger children. I suspect @azure is right that LE got them out to account for them all.

Each kid is required to have their own now. One of my kids is the same age as AW’s youngest and had a passport at 4mo.

IMO, it’s Ana’s passport and the 2 oldest’s and then BW decided to not allow (or couldn’t because of house arrest) the youngest getting a passport seeing as he was born during covid and during BW’s legal troubles. He may have though Ana wouldn’t leave the country if she couldn’t take her kids. Totally MOO

American children all need their own passport.
Obtaining a passport for a child in the US requires that both parents be present to apply, or that the present parent submits notarized documentation/application from the absent parent, or that a fully-custodial parent (with 100% physical and legal custody) present their custody order at the time of application. Every person traveling needs their own passport.

United States Special Police, which is not a law enforcement agency, had leased the five apartments at Crossing on First Street since late 2020, according to a lawsuit filed in July by a limited liability corporation owned by Tishman Speyer, the real estate giant that owns the building.
^^rsbm

This is so bizarre. So we have groups forming phony entities using police names that leased apartments in DC and phony Chinese Police doing the same in NY. o_O

Whew! Finally caught up and guess what folks? We have a media thread.

For new members, this is a thread for media only - articles, maps, court documents, timelines, photos, etc. There's no discussion in the media thread.

I like to think of it as a library. You can go there to study or just to browse, but NO TALKING! :p

Please add anything I've missed!

Here's the link:

Thanks for the updated information. 1978 is a long time ago. :-)

Do you think he had help?

I dont think that he had help, he was clumsy from the beginning ( leaving weapon, search history) I think that he is just lucky for now that Ana hasn’t been found yet. I think that google searches might shed some light into where she is, I believe that he found something online that gave him an idea. Imo

I don't think it's been confirmed that BW was subject of the 2014 complaint to police; I don't believe he was named in the complaint as the person who made the threat.

AW received a 2015 Maserati on Valentine's Day of 2019, according to her Instagram post.

They were married in Boston on 12/21/2015.

I'm not familiar with when and where they lived or worked.

This article from today has a little bit more on two of above topics.
It was confirmed in this article.

I do not know what is that red booklet, but it is NOT a Serbian passport for sure. First it is wrong shade of red, second, there are no stripes on the cover of a serbian passport.

Maybe police asked B if they keep passports somewhere and to to take them out to see if hers was there when they were searching for her ?

Someone else posted this above, and the NY Post must be scrutinized carefully, but… the plot definitely thickens. What a bizarre, bizarre case, where nothing at all is as it appears on the surface:

I personally don't believe this has anything to do with Ana's disappearance.

I also believe that Ana was thrust into this hornet's nest by her employer. For PR and legal reasons they likely told her she couldn't say anything to the tenants about the actions by the fraudsters/spies (?). She probably didn't have the best PR/corporate skills to handle this situation.

EBM for typo and to add a postscript—

Thank you for your perspective. I’m fine with that as one take on it, but I also find it to be more than a coincidence that Ana is surrounded by folks engaged in fraud/gamesmanship/deceit, etc.
MOO, but I, personally, refuse to believe she is an oblivious sheep unable to understand what’s going on around her, or to act with agency. Yes, the NY Post article smacks of xenophobia and is clearly exaggerating some things.
But to fully understand a crime, especially a mysterious one such as this, I try to fully understand the victim and all of those surrounding her.

Somehow this woman seems to be surrounded by folks who are not always on the up and up, and it has been that way for her for a long period of time. I am in no way blaming her, but I’m also interested in looking at the entirety of the situation to see who else may be around, and how her experience of “shady doings” on many fronts (home, work, etc) may have inured her to the dangers lurking in the corners of her life (i.e., her abductor/likely killer). I am not seeing tons of photos of Ana with a huge circle of adoring friends on IG; I do see a LOT of photos of her colleagues and co-workers, glamour shots & selfies, and images of her reveling in the luxury goods she so clearly enjoyed. She had a “get-ahead” mindset; it may have played a role in who she allowed to be close to her, is what I’m saying.

MOO, but to me, it feels important to look at all the angles and not infantilize her. What IF she knew what was going on at the building, and why is it less acceptable and less important to ask that than any other question in this case?
All MOO/my speculation only.

I should also add I believe BW is responsible for Ana’s disappearance. I am not 100% sure he didn’t have some sort of assistance after the fact.

Confusing in deed. Don't think the red one is even a passport, if it is, that is the color of the Turkey passport. She would have needed a passport to fly to DC, but why were 2 out? All so strange. Maybe she and the kids were getting ready to go to DC. Makes sense if it is a turkey passport. Domestic travel. A BC will do for one of the other kids.
