Judy Doane lived next to Ana and Brian Walshe and their boys in 2018. Doane sold the couple the house at 6 Edgewood Road in Marblehead, two years before they moved to Cohasset.

Doane said she has contacted the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, filling out an application to take the boys from DCF and care for them herself.

"I don't want them to be separated," Doane said. "I think the number one concern is finding Ana and finding out what happened. But, those kids right now need each other."

Doane says two other families from Cohasset, with kids the same age as the Walshes, have also reached out to DCF.

"I saw her every day," Doane said. "She was beautiful every day. I never saw her upset. I never saw him upset. I know. It was just the strangest thing. So to think that this is happening is like, what?"

I keep listening and I don't hear anything that is suspicious about Gem's feelings and thoughts. He said appropriate person responses to B about did you call others or police? He called Police himself when B told him the police may be calling him. Even though he expressed the big impact they both had on his life for whatever reasons he experienced or help he needed, he was not shying away from feeling B was not on the up and up, saying things didn't add up. He's a sharp man.
The fact he suspected foul play immediately.

Wow - such good-hearted people willing to step in for Ana's kids! This is such good news. Those little fellows need to be with someone who knew their mom.

They need to be together, their own little world of what's left of what they know. Their dog is not with them, their mother and father are not with them. They are not in their home/ bedrooms/ toys. nothing is familiar.. Terrified, and need SOLID STABILITY and assurance and routine. It's beyond painful to think of this of course and separating those brothers is a disgusting and inhumane thought at all.

The fact he suspected foul play immediately.
He sounded like the timeline to him regarding the cell and not acting asap the next day set off alarms, things were not adding up he said. He could mean 'foul play regarding B involved, or someone else bad got to her. I believe he meant B and his instinct kicked in, regardless of how close he was to B, being a realist I'd say.

IMO there is no shortage of wonderful families in the greater Boston area availabe to take the three boys together. If Anna's family cannot accomodate the kids ( understandable due to circumstances etc ) I am sure there will find a loving family. DCF will do the right thing - especially with such a spotlight on this case. JUST IMO

I never will trust DCF anywhere ever again after the continued abuse suffered in foster care by the Turpin children in CA. Luckily the Walshe children have advocates. That was missing for the Turpins AFAIK. CASA or some other oversight is critical in all placements.

If there is a placement with friend of Ana's with visitation permitted by her sister & mother, they will suffer less. It will be terrible if the three are separated & DCF might find keeping them together difficult.

I hope AW had some legal docs in place to direct her affairs in the event of her death.

COHASSET, Mass. – EXCLUSIVE: Ana Walshe, the Massachusetts real estate bossmissing over two weeks, was making plans for the future and was selling some of her assets with the intention of reinvesting the profits into a property she was intending to buy, a well-placed source confirmed to Fox News Digital.

Walshe, the 39-year-old real estate manager who regularly commuted to Washington, D.C. for work, had owned an apartment in Revere, Massachusetts, for years before she finalized the sale just days before her disappearance. Walshe lived with her family in the seaside, South Shore town of Cohasset, but owned investment properties, including the apartment in Revere.

Her longtime Revere tenants previously told Fox News Digital Walshe's behavior had changed in recent months, when she suddenly sprung on them the news of the property sale and grew "pushy" – different from the friend they once considered her.

One thing to keep in mind is the housing market - in particular in the Boston area. It's not a great time to be a seller and most predictions are it will be even worse in the spring/summer.

* this may have played a part in her urgency to unload property.

Article from a Serbian newspaper. Hopefully this google translate link works.

"Anthony is a guy who worked in a Boston restaurant that Brian Walsh rented several times a week to organize private dinners where he contracted jobs. For the last eight years, Brian has hired Anthony to be his personal waiter at such dinners."
...
"Mr. Walsh came with his clients, friends and family to celebrate some private events several times a week."
...
After the Warhol art scandal broke "he didn't come that often anymore. He was no longer considered a respectable man in Boston. When you're a prominent person in Boston, you don't want to be in the company of swindlers anymore, so they rejected him too."
...
"They were always nice to each other. They behaved normally."
...
"he was rude all the time, disrespectful to employees and not nice to us. Nobody was happy to have to serve him."
...
"he was touching female staff members in the restaurant. He behaved strangely in this sense, he put his arm around women's waists and grabbed their hands. He did this in front of everyone. He flirted with them."

Whoever takes these children (as a unit, hopefully,) needs thorough vetting and scrutiny by the court. I don’t want them to fall through the cracks. They need their own advocate. After all, Dad didn’t seem to care about their future. This is so complicated.

From article on Boston-dot-com:
Ana Walshe’s mother, Milanka Ljubicic, told Fox News Digital that her daughter asked her to travel from Serbia to Washington, D.C. in a text message sent on Christmas Day.
“She just said, ‘Please, mama. Come tomorrow,’” Ljubicic said in an interview that was conducted in Belgrade. “Which means, that clearly, there must have been some problems.”
Ljubicic said that her daughter did not give a reason for her urgent request, and Ljubicic said that she could not travel on such short notice.
“I can’t get myself together in one day. I am 69 years old, I have to get my medications and a thousand other things,” she said during the interview, which Fox translated into English.
Ljubicic suggested that she visit on Jan. 5 or 6 instead. But Ana Walshe told her mother that she and her husband, Brian, were making plans to visit Serbia in February.

(That last part doesn’t make much sense to me.)

I wonder if there is any more context. For example, if my child had asked me to fly across the world in one day, I would be asking her what is wrong, what is going on. Maybe this mother did ask and police have told her to keep that part quiet.

It doesn't make sense because due to a loss in translation from Serbian (?) to English. Pretty much happens to every language translated to English.

^^rsbm

Well, we know for a fact that BW wasn't leaving the country in February 2023 under his bond conditions, given the imposition of his sentence for art fraud was delayed and still pending.

And didn't Ana visit Serbia sometime in November?

ETA: Appending to my message after realizing that the communication between Ana and her mother on Christmas day was via Text message, and later on Dec 31 when Ana phoned both mom and her sister, the calls went unanswered. Here, the mother also acknowledges BWs home confinement so I think the Feb trip was in error due to translation. MOO

Ana Walshe’s mother, Milanka Ljubicic, told Fox News Digital that her daughter asked her to travel from Serbia to Washington, D.C. in a text message sent on Christmas Day.

[..]

Ljubicic, speaking with Fox, elaborated on Brian Walshe and his relationship with her daughter. Ljubicic said that Ana Walshe was at times “irritated” with the limitations their family had to navigate due to her husband’s home confinement. Brian Walshe pleaded guilty in 2021 to charges related to an attempt to scam a Los Angeles buyer using fake Andy Warhol paintings.

Ana Walshe reportedly told her mother that her frustrations stemmed from the fact that she “had to work in Washington living in a house by herself, while he was at home with the three kids.”

But Ljubicic said she never noticed anything suspicious about her son-in-law.

“They love each other,” Ljubicic said of Brian and Ana Walshe.

[..]

Ljubicic said that she missed an opportunity to speak with her daughter right before she went missing. Ana Walshe tried calling Ljubicic around midnight on Dec. 31, and then once again about an hour later, according to Fox.
