I wouldn't insult dogs by calling MM a dog... I think they are both EQUALLY guilty. We're just hearing RB's side of the story where she completely excludes herself from harming the child. I feel they both participated in Bella's death be it performing an exorcism or choking her or punching her in the stomach. They both should get life, but I know they will not.

Do you think Rachel Bond made a special trip to Lowe's or Home Depot for those contractor bags or she had a roll cart like the one you have pictured and the bags were on hand?

I don't think most of us have contractors bag lying around so I'm sure they were purchased for strength to hold the weights in addition to her body to toss in the water and not tear open.

They probably only use cash. Which would have been good to have a receipt as evidence They probably didn't use a credit card where there would be a paper trail. I wonder if LE found a roll of them in the apt.

Wow indeed. If he said all that at the hospital and he was LYING he is a whole lot smarter now then when they "both" took the body and dropped it in the water (really stupid method of hiding a 30 lb body).

I think he is telling the truth. I don't think he participated in all of the stupidity up until that point and then SUDDENLY had his IQ jump 30 points when the police came in to question him.

Easter was in April this year.. Wasn't RB's last Facebook post in April? I find that very interesting.

LOL yep I'll bet that was a priority. We must have the really good bags for our garbage. Excellent point whoever brought up the contractor bags. They were bought with a purpose. I wonder if they have the rest of the roll and can trace back which lot. I would love to know who bought them. Then again they may have stolen a bag/s from somebody.

i dont pity that nasty fool, but i do think RB had more to do w it than she says.

i dont think hes anything like a puppy dog. i just think hes a big stupid waste of space and prob couldnt come up w it on his own.

I don't know why, but it seems like MM is seen as this big puppy dog. He killed a child, but he's apparently not as bad as someone who didn't? The craziest thing is there was a case where dads girlfriend killed the child and there was so much sympathy for dad, no anger or blame towards him.

Please excuse my ignorance of the legal system. I have just a couple of questions to ask you all. At the arraignment yesterday, was that to present evidence of why MM was charged with this crime, leading to the discussion of what his bail should be? With RB, I get that she pretty much confessed to her charge and why she was there, but I just didn't hear any evidence supporting the claim of murder for MM other than the totally unreliable word of RB. That entire story could be a total fabrication to throw the blame on someone other than herself, because I haven't heard a single bit of physical evidence pointing towards when, how or where the baby died, nor any evidence saying he helped dispose of the little one. So, I guess my question is am I missing something, or is that just the way the system works, and more evidence of why he should be charged will come in the Grand Jury proceedings?

That would be needed at the preliminary hearing. He are the steps in criminal cases.

At this point I dont think any deal has been made. LE has them both exactly where they want them and need to be. Why make a deal before the Investigation is complete. I am sure there has been and still ongoing work to be done. Lets hope evidence tells the real story. If it doesn't a deal may be down the pike. I pray not. Bella deserves justice and both these people should be off the streets forever IMO

I think you are absolutely correct Bravo. This investigation has really just begun and I also think that they are working both of them to get more information, even though they both have attorneys. LE needs all they can get before the prosecution puts this before a grand jury. I am pretty sure that there will be different charges at that point. At least now, they can keep them in jail without them skipping or dying of an OD.

That's the timeline that is bugging me. Guy moves out sometime in April. Did the person who lived next to them not say they had not heard or even seen Bella for a few months?

An interesting slip by Deakin at arraignment when speaking on the reasons for RB's bail amount he says "accessory to murd.." Then corrects himself to "accessory after the fact to murder".

<video snipped>

From what I can tell, it looks like there are two forms of accessory to murder in MA: accessory before the fact to murder and accessory after the fact to murder. I think possibly the judge simply stumbled over the phrase "accessory after the fact to murder." It's still accessory to murder, though, whether before or after the fact. Thank you, insatiable!

Oy. Do you think the little angel was death months ago and kept -I cannot write where, I just can't- for months?

I don't think anyone thinks he is a big puppy dog. I think most people think at a minimum he is a twisted junkie. But I think a lot of us are having a hard time buying the story RB is saying, which just so happens to place the smallest amount of blame on her in this, when she herself has a track record of drug use, violence and has lost two children long before MM came into the picture. I am not sold on what MM's lawyer is saying but it is enough to make me wonder.

If he is saying that RB told him Bella was taken in April, that would coincide when her FB postings of her showing her amazing mother skills stopped.

My guess is he is going to "clean-up" well. He is going to look like a preppy Irish kid and the greater Boston area has 10,000 who look just like him. The jury is going to identify with him. They will not identify with RB. She is skinny, her eyes are vacant.. she resembles the devils she is so obsessed with. If her past history is allowed she will be looked at as a conniving , abusive, drug addicted, prostitute who was in such MOURNING, that she had to have "family time" on the beach with the heretofore baby daddy. She is an unsympathetic character in looks and in deeds. MM is going to walk.. JMO LE cannot prove who killed this baby..it could have been either one. MOO

Anything i write is just my opinion.

Sprinsky relayed to police that BOND said Bella was possessed by demons, and other friends of the couple told police that McCarthy claimed he had the ability to exorcise demons, according to the prosecutor."

Do you think the reporter got it wrong OR was it ONLY RB who said Bella was possessed?

I dunno but the timeline is bugging me. She gawd forbid would have had to have been kept in a freezer for that amount of time. I wish I could find the link where someone living near/beside said they had not heard Bella for a few months. Then again how reliable is this? I wish we knew if others saw/heard Bella and when.

Then again they may have stolen a bag/s from somebody.

I don't see why anyone would need a contractor's bag for a 30 lb body. They are tough bags meant for holding debris from work sites, they are also much more expensive than regular trash bags. Regular trash bags would have worked just as well, I think the contactor bags were picked up somewhere (at the complex?) or otherwise lying around.

According to the complaint, police interviewed McCarthy on Friday, and he told them that Bond had said the state took Bella sometime around Easter. He didn't know the details, the complaint said, but he called Bond "a good mother" and described Bella's living conditions as "safe and appropriate."

When police told him that his story differed from Bond's, McCarthy said Bond might be trying to "save her own *advertiser censored*," denied having anything to do with Bella's death and requested a lawyer.

EASTER! McCarthy is saying Bond told him the state took Bella at Easter. Wow! These people are nuts!!!

What???

Easter?

Does anyone have a link to the full complaint?

The information coming out is far too contradictory. MM's statement that Bella was taken by DCF is much more in line with neighbors who last recall seeing Bella in March or April. Bond says the child died on May 29/30.

Something is very, very wrong here with the conflicting information leaked by sources close to the investigation, media reports from friends/neighbors and then was was presented in court yesterday.

Yes, that was the neighbor with a small child. I will look because she's the one I wondered why she didn't contact CPS when Bella suddenly went silent after hearing her crying and running through the house for months. What did she hear the night of the so-called exorcism?? Will she come forward now and say something now that they are both in jail?

The godmother said the last time she saw Bella was March 12th IIRC. The neighbor didnt gave a date but I think she said a few months or something like that because they shared an apartment wall and she hadnt heard her. moo

Bond lived in a multi-unit dwelling. There may have been a common area in which the landlord stored contractor bags for the use of the building's garbage cans, so she may not have needed to buy any.

I live in CA so I'm not familiar with Mass laws but here in Cali polygraph/ lie detector test results cannot be used in court as they are not 100% reliable but are routinely used outside of court to see if a defendant is being deceptive. I can see this being a very useful tool in this case being there are co-defendants.

Do you know if they have been offered and agreed to take a polygraph? I'm sure their attorneys would advise them against this. If RB is being 100% truthful I would think she would be begging to take it to prove she is not lying.
