Savanah learned about an attack this past Christmas.
“She went to friends for Christmas, because Chad had choked her and held a gun to her head.”

Laura Reilly, an ex-girlfriend of disappeared Clarksburg woman Joanne Ringer's late husband Chad Reidy, has been arrested on three counts of obstruction of justice.
Her arrest was confirmed to MassLive by investigators connected with the case.
She will be held at Berkshire County House of Correction pending her arraignment Friday, Sgt. James Jamari at the Massachusetts State Police barracks in Cheshire told the Daily Hampshire Gazette.

"But seven weeks have passed since the disappearance and she has made no contact with family or friends, particularly with her 19-year-old daughter Savanah, and animals that she loved were left without care at home."


They are investigating the disappearance of Joanne as a homicide.

They believe Chad Reidy, as the sole suspect.

An ex-girlfriend of that suspect is now charged with three counts of misleading investigators.

The search for Joanne continues.

They are asking the public to come forward with any information they have.

"Reilly gave inconsistent and false statements to police regarding the whereabouts of herself and Reidy in the days surrounding Ringer's disappearance, police said.

In an interview with police last week, Reilly admitted she had lied to investigators at Reidy's request about giving him a ride on March 2. Reidy allegedly told Reilly to tell police she had not given him that ride.

Reilly is due back in court on May 22 for a pretrial hearing.

Her case may be submitted to a grand jury for possible transfer into Berkshire Superior Court."

Chad Reidy, late husband of Jo Ringer and suspect in her disappearance, served federal prison time for selling LSD

Reidy was indicted by a grand jury and charged with counts of drug conspiracy and LSD distribution. In January 2001, Reidy entered a guilty plea on a count of possession to distribute LSD and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with five years of probation after his release.

In 2012, Reidy violated the terms of his probation by committing a crime, using controlled substances and alcohol and failing to truthfully answer probation inquiries. He was sentenced to another 8 months in prison.

A grand jury has indicted Laura Reilly, of Easthampton, for statements she made to investigators after the disappearance of Joanne Ringer, according to The Berkshire Eagle. Reilly, 42, was arrested on April 20. She pleaded not guilty in Northern Berkshire District Court to three counts of misleading authorities and is free on $1,500 bail.
Following Tuesday's indictment, the case now moves to Berkshire Superior Court.
