Sounds like a possibility it explains stuff.

I never caught what her different versions were??

Your synopsis made me think I wonder if he used before the game, cravings started - that would be a motivator to miss the game?

Uber stuff is bothersome to me too - could be an imposter driving and targets drunk dudes alone.

Off hand anyone weather that night?/

Where did he get money to go travelling?

Might there be any dealing going on? That too could be a motivator to leave--money

I assume tickets to the game are expensive.

Anyone know if she was drinking??

What was his living situation?
Its been stated that MK had season tickets to the games.

Also believe it was snowing or had very recently snowed in Boston.

In my experience uber is much cheaper, and faster, than a taxi.

MOo
Hope that helps!

I used to drive for Uber. In order for Uber to say his account had three attempts at ordering a ride, I believe that means completed attempts. One of the biggest reasons for not completing (actually picking up the rider) the ride, is not being able to locate them. The other is canceling the request, whether done by driver or passenger.
It's possible his location appeared just as "Christopher Columbus park" to the driver and the driver was unable to locate him.

I believe he attempted to order the Uber at 10:00. About an hour after he left the game.

- The friend hasn't really talked publicly much. I'm guessing his family asked her to keep quiet. Possibly the police and private investigator too. Michael's mother said her story kept changing so that's where it's coming from. Someone who sat near them at the game posted on an article and said the friend was drunk too(she was shocked that she was the driver). That person also said she never saw them fighting at all. But the friend being drunk explains why she may have had different stories. She also might have covered for him at first if he was doing something sketchy. Maybe she came clean when she realized he was seriously missing. I can't post it as it's on her SM but the friend made it sound like he was doing something sketchy and unsafe that night.

- The weather was just above freezing. I believe snow came a couple of days later. It's been raining this week so they've only searched for him a couple of times.

- I think he travelled a lot with his mom, based on his SM comments. Guessing it's family money. I'm thinking the tickets are also through his family. But he lived at home with his mom and sisters(this has been said in numerous news articles) so I don't think his expenses were too high, he could afford season tickets

-The game started at 7:30. The Celtics posted the final score on their Twitter at 10:04 so it ended around then. He missed about an hour. This is a bit bizarre. It was a close game and it's nearing the end of the season. I would expect him to be watching closely due to playoff seeding.

-It was her car. His family said he uses uber almost every day so i suspect that he never got his license back(not sure why he lost it).

-He definitely could have forgotten where she parked.

-I've seen 9:30 and 9:40 both cited as the last time he used his phone.

-They probably did stop serving around when he left but the park he tried to uber from makes no sense if he was looking for a drink. There are tons of convenient bars which would not require crossing the Charles.

-Drug dealing can't be ruled out but nothing to suggest it. I would see him as more of a buyer than a seller but you never know.

I wonder how he got to paul revere park. Did he walk or uber there? Walking would mean they should have more surveillance footage

Well that makes me never want to take an Uber!

Try this on - this is only a trailer. I tried to cut and paste the whole thing, I crashed WS (!) I did apologize to Tricia!!

She was kind and agreed to let me make small payments once she was able to put the fire out on the server and get the new one!

are you ok with pretending like you are a reporter and telling your audience the most bizarre, scary and or funny uber experiences?

I am confident I am not alone in looking forward to your post should you feel inclined!!!!!!!

I just want to add that my husband and I tried to get an uber after a celtics game and it is nearly impossible for the uber drivers to get right outside the garden. Our uber driver called us and we had to walk a few blocks to locate him. We also had a few Uber's that cancelled our requests because they couldn't get to us due to traffic, road blocks and detours.

I used a 'regular' cab a couple of months ago on a trip to DC. The driver had no idea how to get to our destination (which, granted, was tricky, with one-way streets) and I finally asked him to stop the meter because we were going in circles. After that, I used Lyft and was very happy with it - half the cost of a cab and all the drivers had GPS.

As for it being 'weird' or 'sketchy' that he got up and left near the end of a close game....it sounds as if he was really intoxicated. People do strange things when they are really intoxicated. Things that would not make sense if they were sober.

The Uber part is really bugging me. The fact that he tried three times. If you request an Uber on your phone, you enter the info, click the car you want, request and done. Only way he could try to request three times is if he went into the app, started the process and then got busy or pre occupied with something else ..and then tried again. This tells me a story.

We know he is drunk. Possibly high on something. He goes to open the Uber app. The fact that there are three attempts says to me that he is either so blitzed out of his mind on something or someone else is trying to abduct him.

My theory is that he left the game to score some stuff over in Paul Revere Park. No other reason he would be over there.

He then proceeds to take said stuff and it's let say a 'bad batch'. This is when he just tries repeatedly to go into the Uber app to get a ride but is so beyond gone that he can't do it. Can't finish the request. The other possible extended scenario to this is that the person he picks up 'stuff' from also stays with him while he samples the merchandise. If things go bad he is then on the hook and so he acts quick to get rid of the evidence--which is Michael.

It might make sense again as to why the friends story has changed. Maybe she knew exactly where he was going when he left the game.

As I said before, his card could have declined. You can store numerous cards. Instead of trying a new one, he may have continued to request the ride under the same card, thus, repeated declines.

Yes, they're regular cars. You can pay slightly extra for a "better" car. Like an up-charge/upgrade. Usually my husbands in charge of summoning the ubers when we're out of town but I do remember a couple of times him telling me to look for a specific car, as an example, a black escalade SUV. Another time, just a Honda sedan with a specific license plate number. I'm not sure if the uber app tells you your exact car every time or not.

Eta: I just asked the hubs and he said yes he's almost positive it gives you a vehicle description and license plate number every time a driver accepts your ride request. He's now asking a friend who drives for uber. He is also going to ask about all the possible reasons why multiple uber requests would "fail".

Anybody else have any uber questions?

(I feel a little silly every time I type or say the word uber... :-p)

MOo.

He also may have had gps turned off on his phone, and in his drunken state, didn't realize it.

Could he put in multiple requests?

Order an Uber, wait 5 minutes, order another one because you feel like it should be there already, etc

He's not a city regular so I wonder if he was nervous about being out alone and trying hard to get back before he missed his ride home.

The friend said she knows why he left. She told his family and investigators but they're obviously choosing not to disclose it.

The find Michael Facebook page isn't being run very well, unfortunately.

My husband is at work so I haven't gotten the official uber answer from his friend and I'm oh so terribly impatient so I decided to do this "the old-fashioned way" aka checking myself.

Here is a screenshot via my phone from my uber account, I blacked out the license plate number, but this should show what can be seen after the fact. I also remembered that when you attempt to order an uber this timer circle comes up on your screen and if nobody accepts to be your driver before the timer runs out you have to keep trying until somebody accepts you. After being selected you get the drivers car details. As you can see I've only personally used my uber app once, the husband is usually the summoner of ubers we just used mine the one time to get the free ride. MOo

Eta: this is what it displays if the ride is canceled.

Thank you! I wonder if he tried and couldn't get a ride because too many cars were wanting to get people from the garden after the game so it kept timing out on him

IMO Boston does have a problem. Someone is preying on intoxicated young men exiting sporting events from the Garden. JMO MOO

So sorry for the Kelleher family who were so close with their son, Michael. I hope I am wrong abut Michael and that he shows up soon. Yet, I do not think I am wrong about Boston. MOO

The image of Michael from that night, do we know when or where that was taken? Seems weird that there arent more videos with him on it.

I agree that something is going on in Boston. This first caught my eye last year when Zachary Marr went missing after being kicked out of bell in hand. It was the coldest night of the year in Boston and the man was no allowed to go and get his coat. From there he walked to an ATM close by and about a month later he turned up in the Harbor. This is not a coincidence, and in my opinion BPD needs to put more of an effort into searching different parts of the water than just under the Zakim bridge. Can Uber release details about where he was heading? Possibly show credit card charges or ATM withdrawals from when he left the game until he was last seen? What happened between 9-940 when he called the uber? it takes no more than 10 minutes to walk to Paul Revere Park and if this kid had season tickets to the Celtics, then he would be familiar to the area. It was also cold and rainy that night why would he be walking to a park and be outside for that long alone. This all does not add up there are questions that need to be answered. The following attached article shows multiple males disappearing all around the Boston area over the past decade or so.

Sorry but I have to disagree! The men that have gone missing and found in water were not all at sporting events at the garden. Some had left various bars in the Boston area. So would that mean there is a "group" watching the garden and the various bars all around Boston to see who is intoxicated?

Apparently there was video of Zachary Marr falling through a hole in the tracks at North Station. So...
