I look at this alot different than many people because my daughter is in that lifestyle. From the underground world websites, she was a prostitute. It doesn't matter though because she was human before she was a prostitute... There is also a rumor that he robbed another girl not mentioned and she has his info but has not yet come forward. I pray that she does.
 
In one of the pictures, you can see the screen of his telephone. I wonder if FBI can enlarge it and see if there is any data to be obtained from it?
 
He doesnot seem to care, that his identity will be knowned by someone..........he had to know, it seems........there were cameras in the hotels..........that could record his image.........not attempt at a disguise, which may mean he has no intention on being taken to jail, and will engage in the exchange of gunfire with LE............I sense perhaps, with the cell phone type thing he was carring......he took pictures of his bondage, and will post them later on the web..........................robbery, doesnot seem to be the main motive here, more for the thrill of it, money was just secondary, to continue on, perhaps to pay for another girl, with the money hes stolen, so not to have to spend his own money, or visit money machines but unsure................i would not be totally surprised, if in fact it becomes known that his first name was craig.......for the craig list site he visited..........in his warped mind perhpas.....his craige list is his list...........

As a grand jury convened to interview witnesses in the horrifying murder of aspiring actress and model Julissa Brisman, cops were chasing down leads yesterday from “numerous tips” that poured in from people who think they know who the Craiglist killer is.
Police believe the killer is the same john who bound and robbed at gunpoint a 29-year-old hooker from Las Vegas in her room at the Westin Copley Place April 10. Like Brisman, she had advertised services on craigslist.org.
Investigators do not believe any business was conducted between Brisman, who advertised as a masseuse, and her visitor before she died, a source told the Herald. (more at link)

He may be using stolen phones to do his set ups. Most of these hook ups are done within an hour or two of calling the girl. It would take nothing to lift someone's blackberry or other phone and use it for a few hours. Most people would look for their phone for a couple of hours before turning it off and taking on that headache. He isn't calling from a phone registered in his name.

There very well may be no emails as those ads tend to include a number.

I would assume at this point they are trying to bait him with an ad. They know what he looks like. They know what types of ads he answered. They know what the girls looked like. If they can get him to respond to an ad they would know it was him when he arrived at the hotel. Of course that is going to be a bad day for anyone else answering that ad that day.
 
NBC is reporting that LE thinks that he has struck, again, last night in Rhode Island. Thankfully the woman did not end up murdered, but she was attacked and he attempted to rob her at gunpoint. :( (she, like the others, advertised herself on Craig's List.)

Elphaba, do you have a link to that article? I hope they find this guy fast.
 
This is in my neck of the woods. The hotel is not far from TF Green airport nor Route 95. From Boston to Warwick is only around 45-50 miles (give or take) and just over an hour ride. If the guy didn't fly out, I think I'd look into areas of CT next.

Craigslist killer may have struck again

The Craigslist killer stalking Hub hookers for their cash appears to have struck again, but this time he attempted to rob a woman offering “private dances” in a hotel in Rhode Island.

Warwick, R.I., police confirm this morning that a man matching the description of Boston’s Caucasian killer held a 26-year-old woman at gunpoint last night at a Holiday Inn Express and demanded all her money.

“She was offering private dances on Craigslist,” Warwick Lt. Joseph Coffey tells the Herald.
 
Given how many towns are off of Route 95, I wonder if LE (MA and RI) have checked out the area hotels for security videos. I know there are many, but it would be worth the time considering this guy is a serial stalker/murderer.

I read sometime ago in true crime book that everytime you use your card it timestamp at front desk. So they should be able to tell what time this happen and steup with the video.

Are these east coast towns relatively closer together? It's been a long time, but we jumped on a train in RI and rode up to Boston, and my friends out there shop in Worchestire (sp?) Mass. It seems like it's easy to get around the area?

I hope they are watching the whole area closely.

Do you know anything about the "Ell" train or something like that? I can't think of the "name" of the train/subway type thing we traveled to Boston.
 
Arrogant SOB..... I really believe this guy is traveling on the road and his next possible stop will be either in CT or, as he travels South, in this part of the NE corridor. NYC, NJ.... He will need the money, especially if he has read about himself. I think he will do this again and soon.

He looks young and "average". He is not going to stand out, imho. Scary....

Amtrak runs between Boston and NYC as a normal run. From Penn Station in NYC you can travel further South. There is the Acela (fast travel with the price to go with it) and the "regular" transport train.

There is a stop in Providence, but there are no stops in Warwick. Further Southern RI, but not Warwick. If he decided to take the train (there are only certain hours for train travel at night back into PVD from BOS), he would have had to take a cab from Providence to the Warwick hotel which is very near TF Green Airport. About a 20-25 minute ride.

I think he has his own car. Route 95 is only several miles from Post Rd. It's that close and convenient.

ETA: The cab ride to Post Rd., depending the hour, may have been short depending on the time of day and the cab driver's chosen route. Max from Providence to Post Rd. may have been 15-20 minutes. Closer to 20, imho.
