Clear JO's family wants Brian Albert et al sitting there. Frankly surprised that they are still speaking thru all of this...there has to be times when JO's family is thinking that it is possible that he was beat up in the house.

Funny too, most of the new “attendees” didn’t attend OJO’s funeral…

There is something about Colin Albert that makes me think much of this has been to protect him.

His age. He was 18, not 17. Makes a big difference when you commit a felony.

The judge is leaning in as she listens first to defense attorney David Yannetti then to Assistant District Attorney Laura McLauhglin.

The judge takes off her glasses, looks out the window and says something to the defense attorneys. One of the court officers speaks with the courtroom cameraman who then points the camera back up at the fan.

The juror strides back in. She has her hands on her hips as she listens to the judge.

The juror exits.

The judges speaks with the attorneys then exits the courtroom. Another recess.

The court clerk says the juror has been dismissed.

BREAKING: The juror has been dismissed. So now there are 14 remaining jurors in the #KarenReadTrial.

The dismissed juror is a white woman who I estimate is in her early 40s. She has been noticeably reactive to testimony, moreso than other jurors. I posted a couple weeks ago about her shaking her head during testimony. We do NOT know why she was excused from jury.

Same juror has come in again and is back up at sidebar

and she is sent out again.

Breaking: A juror was just dismissed from the Karen Read trial on the morning before closing arguments.This is the juror who was brought in 2x to sidebar

14 jurors remain. They stacked the jury box during selection to have enough ready to deliberate in case some were lost along the way.

Breaking: a juror has been dismissed from the Karen Read trial. Confirmed by the court.

There are now 14 jurors, so we will have only two alternates during deliberations. We started with 17 jurors - three woman have been excused and/or dismissed from this jury. The woman dismissed today was clearly not happy about it.

So far no reason for why the juror has been dismissed. She left the courtroom looking very unpleased about the decision.

With a third juror dismissed, the remaining jury is eight women and six men.

The jury enters. The judge enters.

Interesting how it's women too. I remember how there were comments on how visibly DISGUSTED some of the juror women were by Proctor's comments...

That leaves 14 jurors, 12 + 2 alternates.
We ended jury selection with 19.
Started testimony with 17.
Lost 2 second week of June.
Lost 1 today.
Now we have 14.
