I find it a little amusing that alot of people automatically assume that if someone has a "burner " phone that the person who has it has a nefarious reason for it. 3 of us in our home have "burner" phones because they're cheap to buy and the plans usually include unlimited everything for cheaper than a contract phone. Shoot, even my FIL has one. I'm pretty sure none of us are drug dealers lol 😂

Agreed re that kind of phone. Some people lose or break a phone and use one of them while they're waiting for a contract to come up. Sometimes they're just cheapest option at the time.

I'm still a little confused about the Boston Public Market photos. We are getting conflicting pics and reports from posters if it is directly across the street from front entrance of Bell and Hand or from which entrance of BPM pic was actually taken in.

It makes me sad they are searching the water again today.

But the thing is how much did they drink before they went to the bar?
that's usually the plan---pre party- bar party-then the wind down after party.
cheaper to get a buzz before u go to the bar.

According to his cousin only one

That is true but he posted two phones in the picture. I thought it was joke though and he was just making fun of someone. Idk

Iwonder if police are looking for second guy in photo

From WCVB (http://m.wcvb.com/news/divers-resume-search-for-man-who-vanished-from-boston-bar/38144076):

Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said new surveillance video shows Marr in the North Station area. Investigators think he was trying to get to the commuter rail, became confused and went into the water.

Evans called the case a "tragedy," adding "we don't see any indication of foul play."

They know.
He will be pulled from the water.

I guess I can see him being a little tipsy. Getting frustrated waiting outside in the cold. Decided to head to the train and head home? Was confused and ended up in the water.

This is something my son would do. Has done. If he gets separated from his friends or gets bounced from a club/bar, he will just leave. He won't wait around.

Dammit. I wish Zach waited.

The final commuter rail trains in the evening (from north and south station) are usually in the 10pm hour. Haymarket is only a subway stop. Regardless, I doubt he was going to a train.

There's some late-night service on weekends. Less than there used to be.

purposely heading towards that area
<<snip>>>
That is another thing that concerns me (not in a mean way) -- the search for him afterward for only 10 minutes- casue of the weather. I would be pretty scared for someone if I knew they did have protectrive clothing. I also would be screaming there name out I mean screaming!

I also would call police right away solely cause of the temp --cops drivinig around looking would certainly have increased odds IMO

Do we know that it was a tarp not the water - casue I found the pic with the water so close compelling as to a slip.

i am 2 minutes from the bell in hand today, and every work day, and i promise you that is not water. It is a tarp. there is a large outdoor food market on friday and saturdays, this shot was probably taken on an off day, when the stands tend to remain there, covered over.

as for the looking for "only 10 minutes", that keeps being brought up, but really we dont know how long they hung around, calling and looking for him. we only know that at some point they decided to go home and tried to believe that he had met a girl while out for a smoke. we have no idea what they were doing that entire night, how many people were called, how many "what ifs" were tossed around... we only know that by 10 am the next day, they decided they had done all the looking they could without the help of LE

Are you effing kidding me!? I lived in Boston for 20 years. I don't care how drunk, or whatever, you are. How in the world do you end up in the water at North Station? And the last train to Fitchburg, for example, is at 11:30pm or 12:10am. This is just absolutely nuts.

Right?!
Notice how they say he became confused and, "went" into the water. Not "fell". "went".

( I know they could claim, "went" meant "fell", but language is so important when your trying to shift public perception, ever so subtle, but is a tool.)

Feels like they are in CYA MODE.

Also they are calling it a "tragic accident" before they have even found him? How do they absolutely know, there won't be any sign of foul play?

No body, no forensics... seems a little premature to be calling it an accident...

Feels like they are planning to look at this as an easy case to be pushed aside, like the others...

They might just be surprised this time...

Of all the scenarios you could possibly craft, this one creates more questions than it answers.

12:10 is the latest...
I once literally *lept* from the landing platform on to the back of the train,12:12-12:15 heh. (Don't try this at home!).

I haven't read or heard every word of what they said yet, but unless they have video of him slipping and falling into the water ... no ... you know what?, what are you even doing there in the first place? This doesn't make sense. And saying what they said makes no sense unless they have other info. This is stupid.
