It turns out, there was no such claim. Just lies to promote the documentary. In the doc it was explained that the roadblock incident supposedly happened on the 9th, nearly a week later. The young girl doesn't recall what dates she spent with CB at all. CB isn't sure if he was with her on the 3rd either. He just suggests it as a possible alibi because he recalls seeing her around this time period. In other words, it's abolute nonsense.

Didn't CB mention (I think posted on the site Metro) that he believes he was with the young girl "Lena" on May 3, 2007 from midnight and 2:00 a.m.? If true, where was he from 9:00 p.m. ish to 12:00 a.m. ish that night? Hmmm.

MWT shed no light on the case at all or no new information - Only that Cheyenne calls a spade a club.

I agree. As someone who (rightly, just saying) side-eyed this doc from the off, I'm not remotely surprised it delivered nothing but presumably a paycheck for MWT.

I wasn't interested in watching it because even if MWT had something new, he'd hardly be allowed to broadcast it.

Actually the docu had some interesting new information about the vile creature CB is - some more info about the indecent pictures of a girl taken in the box factory, him paying for sex and beating up teenage girls...

Eta: it did not add anything of interest with regards to the supposed alibi, apart from the fact that again CB molested and groomed an underage girl(she is said to have been 17 when he was 30)

I think it would be interesting to know what else is in the vicinity of where the phone is supposed to have been located. EG coffee shops, bars, shops etc. The image portrayed is of Brueckner, or someone else standing the street for 30 minutes, whereas the person might have been having a drink, or even visiting a friend in a nearby building.

The name of internet cafe was actually given by a British witness.

<modsnip>I think it's justified to discuss MWT's new documentary. He is a very appreciated investigator and journalist. In my opinion as well. But i'm still looking for it's added value.

1. CB produced childporn at the neuwegersleben site, together with a woman, probably the mother of the poor little girl. How vile and disgusting.

2. The doco highlited the "MM" reply from panikspatz in the 2013 chat. We already know, that germans do not use such a phrase.

3. The alleged alibi wasn't available for an interview.

In the end, probably channel 5 castrated MWT's work. If so, i'm sorry for him. But i'm not in the position to speak for MWT, wether he is satisfied of the doco, or not.

But i'm not, because it doesn't brought up fresh or old leads in the end. Unfortuneatly!

Looking out of place, loitering around, appearing to be scoping out a Holiday Apartment on multiple days where a child vanishes from said apartment the next day. That's according to the young girl TS and another witness DF in the PJ files.

Also, a man being seen coming out of the back gate of an unoccupied apartment (5C) and then very quietly opening and shutting the back gate multiple times appearing to be testing out how they can make as little noise with it as possible for future reference.

This happened just two doors down from the McCann's apartment (5A) approximately 5 hours before MM went missing, according to witness CT in the PJ files.

No, all of these witnesses I noted and more stated that they thought the man/men were acting suspiciously at the time they were seen but sometimes you don't know exactly what you are seeing until after a crime has been committed.

Well, IMO he should be afraid of prison. His type of criminal is generally the lowest form on the prison food chain. Prison is not meant to be a happy place and for him it could be double bad.
Did anyone see this? I saw a brief statement released when this new evidence and suspect was announced The statement was that they had fibers?, threads?, material? for young M in his van. I only saw it once and cannot find it again. Has anyone run across this information? Sometimes they say something once and pull it. I've been trying to find/verify the statement. Thanks

Derek Flack, from Essex, provided a statement after spotting a dark-skinned man acting suspiciously on May 2 or 3 opposite another man with a white van.

The pair were yards from Madeleine’s flat when they were seen by Mr Flack and his wife.

Judicial Police statements provided by Mr Flack said he saw a dark-skinned man with stubble and short dark hair in a "yellow T-shirt."

The man was “was standing at the corner of the path watching in the direction of the apartment that Madeleine would later disappear from.”

Mr Flack said the man’s van was possibly an Opel.

Interestingly, the Tapas workers wore yellow T-shirts.



I remember the reports in 2020 when it was claimed that a worker at the OC may have given CB the information about The McCann's and group leaving their apartments unattended while at dinner so CB could burglarize them. I wonder if that was ever verified or what became of that.
