One of the newest conspiracy theories about missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 is that the passengers are being held at Diego Garcia, a U.S. base near the Maldives.

The theory itself isn’t that new but claimed new evidence is–that would be a black photo allegedly taken by Philip Wood, an American IBM engineer on the flight.

Great reading thanks! Philip Wood is the American who worked for FreeScale?

His wife has been on CNN?

I was saddened to read of the garbage in the oceans. :( We are destroying everything.

But did we even know for fact that that was the official transcript? If so, I think there was a translation issue somewhere along the line...
Why the Chinese had the transcript and not Malaysia is just weird anyways.

Well Malaysia did say all along that the transcript released was not accurate. Now everyone is surprised that the transcript is not accurate.

Currently, the majority of flight crews receive verbal route instructions from an ATC prior to taxiing. The pilot then repeats that transmission back to the ATC to ensure that they have the correct information.

However, an aircraft equipped with a Data Comma receiver obtains that same route information digitally, and the pilot confirms by pressing a button in the cockpit. The instructions are then loaded directly into the aircraft's onboard computer system in seconds, significantly cutting down on the minute’s pilots waste sitting on the runway burning fuel before takeoff.

The second phase of the Data Comma program will deploy Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) to En Route ATC centers, giving controllers even more connection to the aircraft's flight deck with the digital transfer of communications, validation and assignment of altitudes, revised route information and issuance of altimeters, according to Geyer.

"Certain tasks that are currently only able to be achieved by the radar controller via voice will now be shared among the sector team. This will allow the radar controller time to run a more efficient sector. The ability to send route information that is in a loadable format to the flight deck will not only reduce the time it takes to input the data, but will also reduce input errors that occur," Geyer added. –

integrate Flight Tracking into Digital Air Ware:
….these can record your coordinates and send the data back once you're on the ground. While real-time flight tracking is always the best, we also offer the ability to save where you have been to help avoid noise complaints and ensure efficient flights.

Thanks, :seeya:

But, why couldn't they "test" a commercial aircraft? Why did innocent people have to be on it? Unless they are being held.

Some loved ones do not believe they are dead, which IMO, should not be forced upon someone until some evidence is found. JMO.

did innocent people:

20 of whom are either in on it/forced to give up info/involved with selling whatever was in cargo hold tech info on black market

IMO the other passengers were just unlucky to be on this flight --

late flight so it would be doing its thing when everything is lower staff

terrific......

In 1997, the airline also became the record-holder of the world's longest non-commercial non-stop flight, from Boeing Field in Seattle to Kuala Lumpur, flying eastward, passing over the European and African continents, breaking the Great Circle Distance Without Landing record for an airliner with its Boeing 777-200ER dubbed Super Ranger: a record now held by the Boeing 777-200LR

Shoot it just flew over me...............

Honestly, if he could pull his iphone from his bum, speak the command to take a picture and speak the command to upload it, then his iphone is waaaay better than my iphone. I have to scream at mine but it still won't call my husband.

Also, I understand the rumour says that he had a hood over his head and his hands were free which is how he managed to pull the phone from his bum, but seriously, I doubt the US army is just going to leave all those passengers with their hands free. That's what cable ties are for.

Really I looked at pictures ,it is a beautiful isolated beach area. They could let them roam free and they are not going anywhere. If they were taken there that is..set up rules and get the system established ,be nice to them they would be like in a confusing vacation.

Not that I believe he took the picture. . I just think the whole picture story could be propagenda, put out to make the public think the whole diego garcia theory is far fetched ,when what really is far fetched is the fact that this plane flew undetected anywhere near this place and they did not know.

Well sure, they can't escape. There is a lot more to do on Diego Garcia than escape. If they were going to be nice to them and let the roam free, why did US army but a hood over there head and tie it on, forcing him to take a picture in the dark. I honestly don't think the US military is stupid enough not to check that people don't have phones stashed in their butt crack. Wouldn't that be the first place you would look?

If they were roaming free, why wouldn't they use the phones available to tell the world they were alive? That's the first thing my husband did when he got there.

Where were the people taken? Conspiracy theorists believe the passengers of flight MH370 are being held at Diego Garcia, a strategically important and secret US base near the Maldives. It is a remote island in the middle of the Indian Ocean and it has a runway long enough to land a Boeing 777. Could it have been a coincidence that this destination was programmed into the home flight simulator of captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah, the pilot of the missing Malaysia Airlines plane?
The home-made simulator of the pilot has been loaded with runways of at least five airports in and around the Indian Ocean, where the search for the vanished Boeing 777 is gaining momentum.

"The simulation programmes are based on runways at the Male International Airport in Maldives, an airport owned by the United States (Diego Garcia), and three other runways in India and Sri Lanka, all have runway lengths of 1,000 metres," an unidentified investigation source told local Malay daily Berita Harian

According to the Daily Mail, residents of the Kuda Huvadhoo island, the Maldives, reported seeing a plane on the morning of the disappearance of MH370. Eyewitness told the British tabloid: “I’ve never seen a jet flying so low over our island before. We’ve seen seaplanes, but I’m sure that this was not one of those. I could even make out the doors on the plane clearly. It’s not just me either, several other residents have reported seeing the exact same thing. Some people got out of their houses to see what was causing the tremendous noise too.”

I've found that most times when I've tried that, it doesn't take me to the last unread, often its not even on the last page I read.

I have my own method, a bookmark on personal toolbar on Firefox and I just change the page number every so many pages.

I feel like I am stuck on groundhog day, with the way News is coming in on this case.

I used to think watching a trial on the west coast was bad ,due to the east coast time zone. However ,I just wish now ya know?

Also, if the US government wanted to kidnap a whole bunch of people working for a U company, couldn't they have been a bit smarter about it. Why take children and retired couples, and actor and all of the other innocent people who don't have information. Why draw world wide attention? Something like this is going to get every nutter out there speculating, why risk someone being correct?

There does seem to be a lack of news today re the search progress.

You would think they would hijack the vans picking up the group at airport...

I would guess you have to condition your prisoners. Not that I believe the photo story but since you want to consider it. I do not think looking in ones :cupcake:for an iphone 5 would be something one does.

Then if they were free to roam it would be because they didnt have their phones as those were removed which would have been why PW put his in his:cupcake:

However since this story is out there as a distraction , to make people who think the diago garcia landing is a conspiracy theory and not worth a farther thought. Because after the phone /butt issue ,normal people will roll their eyes when the subject of the plane landing there is brought up.

This whole story the plane missing has been filled with things to inspire the theories. If enough junk is tossed out then ,the truth can be buried under it.

I just said to my son yesterday that is the one crazy theory/hoax/conspiracy that is still at the back of my mind. The one that talked about the plane going to Diego and disease control specialists being flown in from the US and China.

It's not that I am a conspiracy person or that I really even think anything other than bottom of the ocean. Just that ONE story was published, and then I googled it for a few days and there was nothing out there except the original published story. That in itself pinged my radar.
How often do you read a crazy story about a tragedy and not get a bunch of google hits about it being a hoax?
By now it might be "out there" more, but for about a solid week it was never mentioned. Just weird.

At this point I just have no clue, the information changes so often I can't even keep up anymore :scared:

So this week this has hit the news.

And I remembered that as soon as I read it . Dont know what that would have to do with the plane, unless the virus was in the cargo.
