The pingers are set to frequency specific to airplanes.
I am confident that the pings that have been heard are from MH370.

You're confident ?? I've seen those things on every news media out there in the last 2 weeks. Just how would you know if they are picking up a ghost signal ping being sent by a "pinger" that somebody has on board as a training tool or absent mindedly got forgotten about on one of the search ships?

This entire "ping" thing, and the shear luck it would take in order to locate it, is very suspicious.

:seeya: All good aa9511. I think we had thei debate a month ago too. We have some WS folks who are are suspicious of the Iranians, and some that not. I don't like the fact that they were cleared so quickly.

:grouphug:

:gday:

hehe....thought this emoticon was very appropriate for the area we're currently focused on!

Yes, I'm confident.

MAS flight 9016 is due to land AMS in 2:44 hours.

So, then there was no financial or time constraint reason they could of not have flown direct to Amsterdam? :scared:

What is so special about Beijing? Why that exit point?

:banghead:

And this...

Khairul, a father of one daughter, had recently bought a house on the outskirts of the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, and had more than 10 years experience as a flight engineer, his father Selamat Omar told Reuters. He declined to say whether he believed his son could have been involved in any foul play.

Selamat said he and other family members were supposed to visit Khairul's new house this month. But Khairul had told his father on Thursday he had to go for a job in Beijing and that they would reschedule. That was the last time they spoke.

"Khairul was doing well in his job and was a good son. He would come visit us at least once a month," Selamat said.

Ok....... that link and article specifically mentions that nothing was said on ATC handoff except all right goodnight. That is way unusual and I have never gotten away with not acknowledging ATC by repeating the radio freq ATC gave me AND my call sign. They will call back until you get it right in N/A continent.

The strict PROFIT motivation of most large corporations considers the hapless consumers as a nuisance to be dealt with should a lawsuit raise its ugly head. I hate it but that is the way it works JMO

Thanks ... I agree with you, but in Australia most hospitals are Govt owned and funded. Our healthcare here is primarily Govt (taxpayer) funded - we all contribute through a mandatory levy. Hence, my irritation with the massive outlay of $$ here ... that seems to be expected/assumed by Malaysia ... while other very important areas suffer, with resulting deaths in some cases.

It should have been cheaper shorter quicker going direct KUL>AMS

I'm guessing it looks better to customs coming in from a Beijing flight into AMS than a Tehran flight especially if going from there to Frankfurt, which I think is where he said he was going.

And why book a flight to Amsterdam via Beijing?

Once in Malaysia, ABC News reports that the pair arranged over the phone to travel to Europe with an Iranian man known as "Mr. Ali," booking flights from Kuala Lumpur to Amsterdam via Beijing.
Once in Amsterdam, their paths diverged, with one man going to Copenhagen and another to Frankfurt.
While Beijing looks like another unusual detour, the logic seems to be quite simple: Money.
The Financial Times has reported that "Mr. Ali" had contacted Benjaporn Krutnait, owner of travel agency Grand Horizon Travel in Thailand, to book cheap flights to Europe for the two men on March 1.
When Mr. Ali did not get back in contact in time, the flight reservations were lost, and she had to re-book the Malaysia Airlines flight through Beijing.
The flight was chosen as it was the cheapest flight to Europe available.

You hit the double quotes icon, then you click the quote of the post you want to post, then hit your back button on your browser, then hit quote again for the second post you want to quote.

Me too. But, I still have not ruled them out as "mules" for this deliberate action.

I am more concerned with that early report of the luggage for five "no-show" passengers which was allegedly removed from the plane. Perhaps it wasn't?

Still am suspicious of the cargo and something other than passengers or the pilots.

MOO

It seems pretty quiet in here tonight. Has everyone gotten bored and gone elsewhere? Does nobody really care about this plane except for the staff over at CNN ??

Man, I miss football !

It has to do with visas.
If they two of them wanted to enter Europe as Iranians, they would have needed visas. Having the stolen passports gave them European identities, and therefore wouldn't need visas to enter any EU nation. They couldn't get their passports in Iran, cuz Mr. Ali was in KL waiting for them. So they flew to KL as Iranians, then "became" Europeans to travel to China and then from there they would have went to Amsterdam.

They avoided the visa applications by traveling where they wouldn't need visas and by using stolen passports to get to their specific destinations on the way.

You mean like "people" in the cargo hold ? People that were undetected and didn't show up on video cameras or on a passenger list because nobody knew about them ?? Now you're getting into my theory on this whole thing.

Hmmmm...every "expert" said this was "completely normal".

I think those 5 have been accounted for and they missed the flight or something?

Just click on the "MultiQuote" symbol (next to the Quote button) of each post you want included in your post, then click Quote on the post you're replying to last, all the other multi-quoted posts will appear above the post you're replying to.

P.S. Looks like you figured it out. lol
