This highly interesting CNN Video interview (published on Mar 18 2014) of CNN's reporter Mr. Martin Savidge and
uFly Flight Simulator's employee Mr. Mitchell Casado (uFly Company recently fired Mitchell Casado due to being improperly dressed for CNN coverage)
demonstrates how EASILY a Boeing 777's flight path can be rerouted while in flight.

uFly company owner Claudio Teixeira says he fired Mitchell Casado on Wednesday in part for 'shaming Canadians' by 'dressing like he was 15 years old' during
appearances on CNN tv-interview.

CNN News report Video on their CNN Youtube channel:
Officials: Someone in cockpit rerouted missing plane - YouTube

MSM link: http://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/canadi...suing-former-employer-1.1802859#ixzz30k9yAGXL

Why on earth would a company fire somebody or an expert who actually
is able to give more insight to the viewers or assist with information on how a Boeing 777 can be flown...
At least Mr. Mitchell Casado had CLEAN clothes on as far as CNN video shows!

MOO!

Something kept drawing me back to the arc map included in the prelim report....

IF it were a pilot/suicide there'd be no need to bring the plane around in such a curved arc, just continue on in a more or less straight line down over the ocean to ditch it.

Looking at airline flight maps of Malaysia Air & Thai Airlines, that curved arc is almost identical to the flight route from Perth to Kuala Lumpur with an estimated flight time of 5hr 40mins. I'll hazard a guess & say,in my opinion, MH370 was hijacked & was heading for Australia but ran out of fuel....so close & yet so far.

That makes sense!
If it was hijacked, the question remains: WHO and WHY?

The only problem I have with the hijack theory is that it's unusual for a plane to be hijacked and no one claim they were responsible.

Maybe no one claimed responsibility because it was a failed hijack.
The intended destination was never reached, therefore no group wants to take responsibility for it.

I agree, it almost sounds like a group attempt that perhaps went badly and killed everyone on board, in flight, then just "ghost shipped" away into oblivion.

I would guess under those circumstances, the balance of the group would keep quiet in hopes of another future attempt.

My concern is that no Countries are talking any real substantial talk. I bet their spooks are in overdrive and the satellite batteries are in high discharge mode.

Of course this could simply be an independent operator with a personal grudge.........

That makes sense to me.....as well as upthread too (because the mission failed a group is keeping it on downlow)

Exactly.
I still feel pretty safe traveling by plane. The security measures here in North America are excellent, whereas in other countries (such as Malaysia) the security is pretty lax/non-existent.

Do you remember the time when the teenager from Edmonton had a pipe bomb in his camera bag, and passed all the security from Canada - Mexico and back? Ooops security slip there.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmon...lure-at-edmonton-airport-kept-quiet-1.2500934

I guess.
He could have had someone using his FS that he didn't know was a shady character. I don't think he purposely trained any terrorists or other bad eggs on it.

Was Capt. Shah Muslim?

Interesting, the "new terror group planning on attacking Muslim countries".

I don't feel Shah is directly involved either.

Hmmm....I think I vaguely remember that.
But security slips are very uncommon here. Security slips will happen anywhere, but since 9/11, North America did step up their security measures.
Other countries....not so much.

I can't remember if he was or not.
I'm pretty sure the co-pilot was, though.

Perhaps they are twisting things or have instructions that are being followed? It could be why they are not saying anything.

RE: the southern arc - Would the plane take this route if auto pilot is engaged?

My issue with this is, is ok, so "mission failed" - why not just tell the world?

Are they worried everyone will freak out? So, it's better just to keep it silent while trying to prevent more future attacks?

:floorlaugh: True. No security slips can happen if security is non-existent.

Maybe if the plane got hijacked, they were trying to turn it back to KL, but it got intercepted by the crew, and headed South until running out of fuel?

According to the map it almost made a U-turn.

Interesting, the "new terror group planning on attacking Muslim countries".

I don't feel Shah is directly involved either.

Agree, regarding Capt. Shah and also that the terrorist group is most likely not involved in the disappearance of MH370, as most of the passengers aboard were Chinese. The only connection I could make, however, would be that the airline is controlled by the Malaysian government, and a vast majority of the population of Malaysia is Muslim.

ElleElle,

maybe this info assists:

"...pilots, Zaharie Ahmad Shah, 53, and Fariq Abdul Hamid. Both men were described to AP as respectable and community-minded.

"Police sources have confirmed that Shah was a vocal political activist"
"Malaysian police searched his house in the upmarket Kuala Lumpur suburb of Shah Alam, where he had installed a home-made flight simulator.
But this newspaper can reveal that investigators had already spent much of last week examining two laptops removed from Shah’s home.
One is believed to contain data from the simulator."
"One laptop taken away is thought to contain data from the flight simulator while a second contained little information. Zaharie’s personal laptop was
not found, and is thought to have been with him in the cockpit of the plane, the source said."
"Zaharie is believed to be separated or divorced from his wife although they share the same house"
"Zaharie was affectionately described as a good neighbour and an eccentric ‘geek’ who had a flight simulator at home simply because he loved his work so much."

Not any direct MSM links nor reference of captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah's religion or him being Muslim, other than that he was said to be a 'fanatical' supporter and related to of the political opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim.
And when looking up politician Anwar Ibrahim according to Wikipedia Anwar Ibrahim's religion is 'Sunni Islam'.
One can only assume captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah was connected to same religion as Anwar Ibrahim (???),
No proper report nor MSM mention about Captain Shah's religion published so far.

It has not been stated if Capt Shah is Muslim in any MSM. However, his family is.

Reluctance to reveal info or facts or misinformation.

Like for example, do we get answers to these questions:
how about further explanation of the large dangerous cargo shipment (full Cargo Manifest), missing details ?
did they confirm the flight Fuel Load ?
how about the Aviation Digital Data Service (ADDS) ?
did they publish a hard copy of the "Radar Trace" tracked by military ?

Questions above would likely not be any State Secrets,
if they really would like to solve the MH30 Mystery, it would be helpful if they publish full info.
Or can somebody on WS find links with Answers to questions above ?

Remember reading in MSM that Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) helped to locate the missing MH370 flight,
saying that it ended up in Indian Ocean, with the help of a whole 'new technology'.
Can somebody on WS clarify further or find links to what kind of "new technology" it was they were using?
