Now, we wait for the findings from Malaysia. I hope they are swift to get information off it. Perhaps there will be incriminating evidence.

Whether they were humoured or not, I thin it could cause problems down the line (in the region). These people are willing to die for a cause they believe is right. They wanted recognition, they will celebrate it and call it a victory. If they are then dismissed, surely that would inflame the situation in the region and cause a lot of tension. They would feel they have been wronged and would act on putting that right, perhaps.

Just look at all the comments they've had recently. The accusations of these "Monsters" ~ ( seems to be a recurring description?? ) like they wouldn't give them over, didn't really have them, tampering, destroying them etc. etc.

So why would anyone expect them to just give them over without some kind of 'official' evidence/proof ?

From what we have learned so far, admittedly via twitter, the document was not a delivery receipt .. it was an acknowledgement that the DNI are a real govt/party/authority.

However, I don't have an issue with anything they had to sign. Just let us bring our people home, let Malaysia have their plane back too.

ETA: Anything they had to sign was done under duress - so it is negated anyway.

No I didn't expect them to hand them over. I expected them to let the proper folk in to retrieve them and treat the scene like any other plane crash and Investigation as well. The signing is an issue as it wasn't proper. It was appalling. To retrieve a piece of evidence under duress. You bet I take issue.

MAl Airlines had better have learned something from 370. They should not TOUCH them - send them directly to NTSB in Wahington or Britain (they seem to be more comfortable with the Britian accident group - fine they are excellent )but NTSB ---best . Its american built plane, etc

It will be real interesting to see if they do so ---also common sense in terms of legal stuff to come ---- we did not touch them!

I think we understand that the media we read is as biased as anywhere else, which is why we're trying to source from as many different places as possible .. people here aren't just watching Fox and CNN and taking that as the given, in fact from what I can tell most people here are fairly skeptical of their local media and looking to more direct sources where possible .. we've even been trying to translate Russian press to see what the people there are reading.
