Well, his T shirt kinda says it all........

I wonder what these pool floats look like that makes them so darned attractive?

Tobergta has been arrested several times previously for public indecency, including a 2002 incident where he was accused of stealing and having sex with a four-foot inflatable pumpkin.

Relatives told News 5 in 2008 that Tobergta has mental problems and was being helped by Butler County Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, but he was dropped because he had too many arrests.

The family has said this man is mentally ill.He needs help.Like I said in the other thread about him, there is a stigma with the mentally ill in the US.With many facilities closing and insurance companies not covering many people are not getting treated and left to wonder the streets because families can't handle them or get the help they need.We recently have seen in the news shootings that have taken place by people that should have been treated or hospitalized.Too many times we choose to ignore it or joke about it.Just like the recent case of a man with the cheese fetish that most posters found funny but ignored the fact that he violated women and his behavior was escalating,This is not funny!
I am sorry for the rant and for being a party pooper but you are not seeing the big picture.

I'm seeing the big picture and it's really sad for Tobergta and all of the people he is subjecting to irreparable harm. How do you ever explain to a 10 year old child someone having sex with a pool raft? Tobergta must be living in his own hell. Very sad, indeed.

It's funny also and I think we can laugh at it. We have here on WS a collection of very caring and respectful people, who write well, and who can come up with some pretty rip-roaring witty responses. And, it's not often, IMO, that we make light of serious issues. There are so many people out there in the world who are mentally ill (or not!) who do horrible, horrible acts and all we can do is bang our head and cry and say how the mental health system and justice system is failing these individuals and their victims.

This man clearly needs help. Real help. Sustained help. God forbid he changes his desire away from plastic filled with air.

NB - He used the same raft in both the 2011 AND 2013 incident?!

I, however, choose to risk being perceived as a big ol' meanypants and will continue to laugh my *advertiser censored* off at the *idea* of a man obsessively having sex with a pool toy. I maintain that it's entirely possible to fall about laughing at an idea, while still having plenty of compassion for the person behind it.

Pool toy. It's effing hilarious. And sometimes you just have to laugh or go through life as a crime-watcher wearing a face which closely resembles a well-sucked lemon.

Of course, everyone's entitled to their opinion. My self esteem is firm enough that happening on a differing POV in no way leaves me feeling....

.... deflated. :D

I am not trying to scold any of you or make you feel guilty, this is just a reminder. You do not know if his family reads here or is a member. How would you feel if this was your brother or son?It is natural to make a humorous remark here or there but to dedicate a entire thread to laughing at a sad affliction is not necessary. This is not the comment section on yahoo, this is websleuths and websleuths is compassionate and caring to victims. This man is a victim of his mental illness.

I respect your opinion and you have presented it well.

However, it does sort of come across as scolding (to me, JMO). And yes, Websleuths is a victim friendly site.

BUT - things get a little more complicated when someone is both the perpetrator in multiple criminal situations and possibly also a victim of mental illness simultaneously.

Again, respect your right to feel as you do but agreeing to disagree on this topic.

Just a heads up.

I am personally enjoying a little buoyancy amid all the doom and gloom.

I hope he's not putting it in the little hole you are supposed to blow. If so, he's got more than one problem.

Sent from a Samsung Galaxy far, far away...

As long as no ones 10 year old catches you enjoying it !

Curious, did he think the pumpkin was Cinderella and he didn't know what time it was.

Why is he arrested ..TLC has a tv show on this very kinda thing people in love with strange objects what about the guy that was making love to his car theres all different kinds of stories on that show and non of them get arrested..

The problem is part of his enjoyment appears to come from doing this activity in public rather than behind closed doors.

This time along the side of the highway in plain view of witnesses, previously in plain view of a ten year old child, etc.

More power to anyone to do whatever "floats" their boat. But this gentleman seems to derive pleasure from shocking the public by doing this in plain view of his fellow citizens.

either that or he simply cannot control this urge and contain it to areas where he has privacy, such as his home behind closed doors.
