:) Hello,
BBM: I am wondering WHY the Judge is not letting it in?
Any thoughts or reasons why?

*waving hands* I do, I do! He wanted a trial based on what is important and timely as they all should be.

He knows that subject would take over and obfuscate and dilute the real, true important facts of the case ala the Arias circus. In the end, she was convicted, but it dragged on that trial far longer than needed because of the sex and because she chose to testify - hoist by her own petard! Sex became more of the focus than the death of her victim Travis Alexander.

To allow in the sex aspect of it would be to diminish the life and death of Teresa Sievers and do nothing but bolster the fragile ego of the defendant.

Sex = Red Herrings.

Lyons says the life insurance money could be used as a buyout after death.

Defense said in openings that if the state alleges money as a motive, Dr. Teresa Sievers was worth more dead than alive. This appears to be where they're drawing that reference. #trialtweets #MarkSieversontrial #TeresaSievers #NBC2courtcoverage

This is very detailed back and forth. Some of it directly relating to the Sievers couple and their assets. Some of it is broadly explaining to the jury why and how people do this. #trialtweets #MarkSieversontrial #TeresaSievers #NBC2courtcoverage

Attorney Monica Lyons says Teresa was one of the most dynamic people she has ever met. Personally going to be very successful not just locally. It was like watching Oprah. She needed Life Insurance.

I'm all for people saying nice things about Teresa, but I think some of her personal opinions are going beyond her expert qualifications.

She thought MS was underinsured at $2.5 mil? Did I hear that right? How is he even remotely worth that?

I believe she was saying that in reference to her prediction that Teresa's professional career was going to explode and she'd eventually have a business partner.....she said something about life insurance being a way to cover a buyout of the business in the case of her death.

We may see him as a man with no major income, but he was technically the office manager for a successful medical practice. He was also an RN, just not working as one. And to Teresa he would have been worth a lot of money in around-the-clock child care, private tutoring, etc for the children in order for her to run her medical office without his help. Put all this situation aside and look at it from before the crime, and it seems that she relied on him a lot in order to be the doctor that she was. Her friends and family have even made comments about her not knowing the bills were behind. So clearly he was the one managing all the bills and money. If she didn’t have enough time to know their own financial situation, then it’s fair to say she relied on him a lot.

she often asked Mark what card she could use when going out for lunch or whatever.

Attorney Lyons is there to clarify the Sievers financial planning and the insurance policies. So, straight up please, would the benefits of the policies, the Trust, the IRA, etc., go to Mark or not? Just tell me please.

Just my frustrated opinion

At the time, the Sievers' second daughter was not yet born, Lyons said.

Sometimes policies are transferred between companies, Lyons said.

It's a credentialed life insurance policy on Teresa Sievers for $2.5 million purchased on Nov. 18, 2005, Lyons said.

The beneficiaries on the policy are Mark Sievers and Josephine Sievers, Mark and Teresa's Sievers.
