Circumstances of disappearance :

Maximiliano Sosa, a three-year-old boy, disappeared on Monday, December 21, 2015 while his mother was hospitalized to give birth to a little brother. At noon, Maximiliano went out to play with his friends from the neighborhood in the city of Ceres, but he never returned. The boy had been left in the care of his grandmother, Patricia Sayago.
(Note : an other article mentions a 15 years old aunt but I don't think it fits the rest of story, and the grandmother is what comes out the most in other articles)

The investigation was entrusted to the Investigative Police personnel of Regional Unit XII, with the intervention of the Rafaela prosecutor, Hemilce Fissore. The first searches were intense: searches were carried out in the area, testimonies were collected from relatives, neighbors and relatives mobile phone expertises were requested.
However, nothing came back with positive results indicating where Maxi was and what happened to him.

A few years after the disappearance, Maxi's grandmother, and her partner, were arrested and charged with the crimes of child abduction and false reporting , since it was the woman who notified the police about the absence of her grandson.

A call in which the couple talked about the baby was the clue that led investigators to them. They believe that there was an intention to sell him. Both of them were acquitted in in February 2021.

Patricia said in an interview that she believes in the hypothesis that Maxi was taken by people linked to human trafficking.

The telephone number to provide information is: 0800-333-5500.
