Most of the news articles on Kim were in the Prince Georges County Paper, and can be seen in Microfilm files. The Washington Post had one or two small articles on her disappearance.BigDaddy said:I remember the Roper case but not this one. Does anyone have any links to newspaper articles or pictures of this girl.
You are correct about the FBI Profiling section becoming involved in Kim's case. I will look at my file and find what they released to the News media in that regard. I will also re-post some of the articles that are in the Missing-But-Not-Forgotten thread.Yaya said:Kimberly Christine Mileos was one of the earliest cases FBI's Behavioral Science Unit profilers were ask to look at when they started offering their services to LE. June of 1983, Prince George's County police asked the profilers to assist in the case of Kimberly Mileo.
It would be interesting to know what the Behavioral Science Unit had to say. Their methods with questioning witnesses are so well thought out and planned. I can imagine Dana was sweating bullets.
Your observation about the sudden "appearance" of the car is one of the biggest questions that I have in regard to this case. Croom Road is a two lane balcktop country road for most of its aproximately 15 mile length. Except for a one lane bridge located a few hundred yards south of where Kim's car was found.shadowangel said:My first question would be...Kim's car seemingly "appeared" in this location, as she was only 4'11" the drivers seat should have been extremely close to the steering wheel. Was it?
A '72 Vega would have either bucket seats (most likely) or a 60/40 split bench seat. The seat adjuster is an "L"-shaped, flattened metal rod extending from under the seat--and should have been an excellent source for prints.
Unfortuanately, that is the only photo that I could find when I first wrote up Kim's story about 8 years ago for a now defunct website. I got it from a microfilm of a newspaper story, printed it out, and then scanned it. It has since been copied and posted on a number of other websites. It would be nice if a better photo could be obtained.PonderingThings said:I know the information from the Doe Network has already been posted, but here is her photo:
