Saw that page too. Only two posts and not much info other than what you mentioned about him retiring from Army.

May not ever know what triggered him but nothing explains or excuses this mayhem.

Yeah witness memories can be very fallible (through no fault of the witnesses, memories are just not always the most reliable, and witnessing so much trauma doesn't help). I'd be shocked if it was more than one shooter to be honest. It's really rare

JMO I've started wondering if it's possible the shooter was holding one or more people hostage since the shooting had been actively going on a long time, longer than necessary to kill 16 people and injure 60+ IMO but at this point I think that's pretty much ruled out?
