Two years to the day after the disappearance of Shannan Gilbert, her family is meeting with the Suffolk County medical examiner Tuesday, a family attorney said.
Four months have passed since Gilbert's skeletal remains were found in Oak Beach, and her autopsy results have yet to be released.
This afternoon, on the second anniversary of her disappearance, her family is scheduled to meet with the medical examiner, said John Ray, a Miller Place attorney representing Gilbert's mother Mari.

"All I can tell you is we don't know what the M.E. will tell us," he said. "We can't really act until we know what they will say."
The meeting is scheduled to take place in Hauppauge at 1 p.m.
Suffolk County police said last week they have not received any information on Gilbert's official cause of death. The remains were being studied by the medical examiner's office.
Gilbert, 24, of Jersey City, N.J., disappeared May 1, 2010, in Oak Beach. Her remains were found Dec. 13, 2011, in a marshy, swampy area located behind the gated community she first disappeared from 19 months earlier.
Ray said last week that the family had heard nothing about the autopsy since December.
