I found where it talks about the cousin:

http://www.foxreno.com/news/19037015/detail.html

Candice Vega says just two weeks ago she warned her little cousin about being safe.

“I told her, ‘Gosh, you're so pretty and cute and little’. I said, ‘you know you're not supposed to talk to strangers, right?’ She said ‘yeah’. I said, ‘because there's a lot of bad people who like to take pretty, little girls like you’. She said, ‘Do you know anyone who's been kidnapped?’ I said, ‘No, but I see it on TV all the time’."

the oakdale house belongs to relative of SINCLAIR
Quote:
On Thursday, April 1st, police expanded their search to the Tracy landfill as well as a home in Oakdale. Authorities tell us the home belongs to a relative of Chris Sinclair, a resident of the Orchard Estates Mobile Home Park who has been identified as a person of interest in the case
http://www.fox40.com/pages/landing_l...041&feedID=190

now I am reaaaaaaallllllly perplexed~! What did Sinclair do to be this worthy? Was one of his relatives in the area that day????

eta: just obstructing justice is not enough for all of THOSE warrants!

Father agrees to be polyd
Quote:
The father of an 8-year-old California girl missing since last Friday has agreed to undergo a polygraph test.
Daniel Cantu said he will do anything to help find his daughter, Sandra, who disappeared from a park near her home in Tracy last week.

“Did I take my daughter? No,” Cantu said. “But I wish I did. I wish I had my daughter. At least I’d know she’s warm … I’d know that she’s fed … I’d know that she’s okay.”

I had read somewhere else that they have been divorced for a year as well.

((aside...you couldn't pay me enough to be a saw-em-up-dude at a beef packing place.....yuck!))

ETA.......this snip as well....

Cantu was in town over the weekend, left, and said he has been in Tracy since Tuesday. Tracy police questioned him Wednesday at the police department, where a friend dropped him off

While looking for video of "the kissing incident" and FW, I did find this:
"Late Monday, the Tracy police did confirm that a search of mobile homes at the park where Cantu disappeared from last Friday has turned up evidence, but said the child has still not been located."

http://www.ktvu.com/news/19051010/detail.html#-

So specifically, they found evidence in the mobile home park itself related to her disappearance is how I am reading this. So did this trigger the search warrants or was this the result?

Parents Report White Van Stalking School Children
http://www.cbs8.com/Global/story.asp?S=10072355

Parents in the Poway Unified School District are on the lookout for a suspicious white van. The van was seen recently stalking a first grader and a seventh grader.
Sabre Springs resident Brett Hanavan keeps track of crime in his area through a neighborhood watch email string. Recently he started to see a pattern.
"Seems like there's been some similar situations with a white van - the same details, the same suspicious nature," Hanavan said.
Two recent incidents involving a white Ford van with three Hispanic men inside happened in Torrey Highlands. On March 12, the mother of a seven-year-old girl dropped off by a school bus near Torrey Meadows Drive and Torrey Santa Fe Road reported the white van following her daughter.

This may clear up the confusion with CA/Mexico:
Mexicali is in Mexico, very close to the border.
Calexico is in California, very near the border.

Sandra's dad lives in Mexicali (Mexico) but works in Brawley (California). Brawley is located in Imperial County, which borders Mexico, and is between Palm Springs and Mexico near the Salton Sea area (if that helps). I've been through there a few times, and it's basically in the middle of nowhere, very simple dwellings, not much to do.

This is from the link below:

Cantu, 37, is a Tracy native who attended Tracy High School has lived in Mexicali, Mexico, for the past year. He works as a saw operator for the National Beef Packing Company in Brawley, about two hours east of San Diego. The company declined to talk about Cantu.

another SW served yesterday in Oakdale; hello kitty shirt was found in trailerpark
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,512411,00.html

Quote:
FBI searched the Oakdale, Calif., home of a man related to the neighbor of a missing 8-year-old girl.
The relative, Chris Sinclair, has been a focus of the investigation into the disappearance of Sandra Cantu a week ago. Three vehicles connected to him already have been seized.
Feds served a search warrant on his Oakdale residence on Thursday.
Quote:
Police said another search of the trailer park where Sandra lives yielded a Hello Kitty T-shirt like the one the child was last seen wearing.
They showed the top to her mother, Maria Chavez.
"It looked very similar [to the one she wore], which is why we brought it back to the mother. But mother said it wasn't. That's not to say we're not going further," KTVU quoted Watney as saying. "We still have it. It's still going to be examined. It's still going to be tested."
ETA: this seems to me to be misreporting... at the presser le said the shirt was found at the transfer station and they took a photo and showed it to mom..

Quote:
Detectives spoke again with another neighbor, Frank Wohler, who they say admitted kissing Sandra on the mouth two years ago, when she was 6.
Wohler's station wagon was confiscated by authorities on Monday night when they searched his home. They returned the vehicle on Thursday.

more on the Oakdale search....from neighbors who watched
Quote:
Judy Thomas and her husband Arnold Thomas watched the search from across the street. Agents looked through a boat that sat in the driveway of the Oakdale home, brought out canines to sniff out the property and used ladders to help search unreachable areas.
There was also a hole dug a few inches into the ground in the backyard, sitting next to a number of shovels and metal detectors.
Both the FBI and the Tracy Police are not releasing any information about this search for fear of hindering the investigation.

group of 60 people found to be exchanging kiddie *advertiser censored* in Tracy!
Quote:
The state says 78 registered sex offenders call Tracy home.

But Tracy police have their eye on as many as 60 people in the city who they have found to exchange child *advertiser censored* over the Internet, police said.

How many of one group are counted among the other is unclear. But investigators said their histories landed the two sets under the microscope in light of an 8-year-old Tracy girl’s disappearance last week.

there was another incident with Wohler????
http://www.fox40.com/pages/search_for_sandra

scroll down to the video player box on the left... scroll past the two pressers and the leonard padilla interview... click play on the video that has a picture of Wohler...

The man that lives across from Sandra stated that he kept an eye out for her since "the incident" (kissing incident) and said there was another incident...he was hesitent to tell reporters exactly what it was but at the end of the interview he said that Wohler would drive past Sandra's and look at her house!!!!! The guy then said....he has no reason to be driving there... he lives on another street!

Ick!!!!

he says that he shared this incident with police

here is a quote from the video

Quote:
"there's another incident that he didn't say on tv and he knows that he did it and continually did it" (neighbor)

Mark Klaas upset and statistic for children missing a week
Quote:
police acknowledged that many media outlets did not find out until later because the department's media list was outdated.
Police outreach efforts were inadequate, charged Marc Klaas, who became a national advocate for missing children after the kidnap and murder of his 12-year-old daughter, Polly Klaas, in 1993 in Sonoma County.
"And as a result of that, an opportunity for the media and for the public to reach out and assist in her recovery was lost," Klaas said Thursday. "And we know and understand full well the implications of that kind of shoddy police work."
He cited a particularly startling statistic from the study that says if not found in a week, 97.9 percent of missing children are killed.

Christian's brother Brandon was a victim of suicide. His age is listed as 47 by current accounts (these just update ages, do not take into consideration that the person they are reporting on is deceased, so 1961 or 1962 give or take for brother Brandon).

http://www.denialofcare.org/media_coverage.htm

(more than half way down the link above lists the parents ( I am not putting their name on this forum out of respect for their privacy). There is a picture of Brandon.

PDF of article interviewing parents of Brandon and Christian.

Tracy police Sgt. Tony Sheneman said Monday morning that he does not believe Sandra Cantu's family was involved in the her disappearance, adding that he believes she is alive.
This was uploaded on 30 MAR 2009. It may be outdated? I wanted to put this here because did I hear this correctly, that the alleged kiss at the pool did not have a formal complaint filed with LE?
