Raleigh, N.C. — A senior resident Superior Court judge on Friday afternoon found that Jason Young "willfully and unlawfully killed" his wife, Michelle Young more than two years ago. The order comes as part of a civil wrongful death suit filed by Michelle Young's mother, Linda Fisher, against Jason Young.
Among the supporting documents in Judge Donald Stephens' judgment was an affidavit from Wake County sheriff’s investigator Richard Spivey, a member of the team investigating the criminal case of the 29-year-old mother’s death.

Jason Young failed to appear in court today regarding the amount of compensation in the wrongful death civil suit (which he also did not show up for). http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/4745442/
They will be showing Jason Young, reporting about the case. I saw a preview. JY looks...different. Long hair, he was sweaty as if in a gym. I couldn't tell. Will watch tonight, Thursday at 6PM on WRAL in Raleigh NC.

Jury selection begins in Jason Young's murder trial
Raleigh, N.C. Jury selection in the trial of Jason Young, who is charged with murder in the 2006 beating death of his wife, is scheduled to begin Tuesday in Raleigh.
Michelle Young, 29, was five months pregnant when she was beaten to death inside the couple's Wake County home on Nov. 3, 2006. The couple's then-2-year-old daughter, Cassidy, was found unharmed in the same room.

RALEIGH -- When prosecutors and defense attorneys begin polling potential jurors today for the Jason Young murder trial, there might be a sense of eerie similarities to a case that wrapped up three weeks ago in the same Wake County courthouse.
Jason Young, 37, is accused of murdering his wife, Michelle Young. She was 29 and several months pregnant when her sister found her body Nov. 3, 2006, in the master bedroom of the family's suburban Wake County home. Cassidy, the couple's then 2-year-old daughter, was physically unharmed, but had tracked bloody footprints throughout the house.
I wonder how the little girl, Michelle's little girl, is doing. Hopefully that time after Michelle's murder spent with JLY hasn't effected her too badly. Was looking at some photos online last night, some photos of JLY with the child, traveling, etc. Was so glad to hear when Merridith got custody of the child.
Judge Donald Stephens issued an order Wednesday afternoon, moving Youngs second murder trial from October to at least January after the court reporter assigned to the case was unable to meet a deadline to produce a transcript from the first trial to prosecutors and Young's attorneys.
Stephens said the delay has to do with the workload demands of the Wake County court system, the vacancy of a court reporter position and a jury selection process that is expected to take longer than normal because of media coverage of the first trial.
