Thank you for the video Dogwood. Again, I'm not seeing or hearing outright PR spin from this family (yet). I know that we can't interpret people by looking at them in a picture or seeing them in video after a life altering crisis but I'm not seeing deliberate spin from this family right now. I did see a man that is in deep emotional pain and is unable to reconcile the crime that was commited with the child he raised. I think I would have great difficulty in doing that too JMHO.

That made me very sad to watch, I'll be thinking of Sandra and her family while I run errands this afternoon BBL.

What is the title of the video? It started playing a Casey video automatically and I soooooo don't want to hear any more about her! LOL There are several other videos in the sidebar, but I don't know which one you found interesting. Thanks!!

Sorry! I edited it before you posted. Click on the link in my post again. There's another good one I posted on the Friends and classmates thread.

I'm sorry again! For some reason the dreaded casey link keeps coming up. Please take your cursor to the side of the screen and different videos will come up. You'll see it there.

What is the name of the video? There are several there about this case.

Pat Brown said basically the same thing I did about the phone conversation with the reporter! (She and I rarely agree on anything.) It was interesting since I had not seen this one. Thanks for posting it, Gitana. :)

Today's display doesn't fit her words when she is talking to the reporter via phone. She seems so casual when stating it was her suitcase and how it was stolen. I didn't hear any sign of trauma or tears in her voice knowing it became Sandra's coffin. Her voice didn't crack or break. She didn't give it a second thought.

I think that whenever a video is given that includes Pat Brown it should come with a huge warning sign.

This was a great video. Thank you for the link. This family is well spoken and generous to the press to even stand there and take all their questions. They humanize the Lawless family. Not Melissa but the rest of the family.

wait typed that before I finished the video... did he say no he doesn't believe his daughter did this? I can live with a I don't know the facts will tell but not an outright NO.

At the end addressing the question about Sandra I think his answer was perfect. It wasn't faked either and I'm so glad to hear him say their grief is nothing compared to the Cantu's. I've never really heard the family of the accused say that and I've always wished they would!
I wish they (the press) had let the family walk away after they answered all those questions. They don't need to be chased like that after stopping to talk. That's gonna drive them away and than *poof* no more interviews. Doesn't the press get that... grrrr

I wonder what drug Connie was referring to? Below is a list of psychotropic drugs and what they treat.

(snip)
She said her granddaughter had been taking some psychotropic medication, and that she had no criminal history aside from a shoplifting.

Psychotropic medication for shoplifting? Was she diagnosed with kleptomania or something?

Ha! I don't think the grandmother is saying she was prescribed the meds because of the shoplifting incident.
