Huge time discrepancy there. I will be interested to know where hubby was during all that time.

Check out Steve Huff's blog for developments in this story. Her name is Seitz, not Feitz.

Two different couples who just disembarked from the same ship have posted over at Steve's blog. Apparently one couple was able to speak with the people who occupied the cabin directly below the victim. Those people reported screams and someone begging not to be hit. They called security but no one responded. Check it out for yourself!

This blog has a picture of Jennifer Ellis-Seitz and some more info.
=============
Ray and Jennifer were participants on a cruise ship game show called “The Not So Newlyweds” where it was learned they have been married for about a year, and had their first date in Orlando, FL.

Although there is currently no information available about Raymond Seitz, we believe he works for a parking area construction and maintenance company in Longwood, FL.

Well, in the George Smith case the couple were in the lounge, were apparently having a disagreement and both were drinking heavily. The wife was found passed out in a hallway nowhere near their room. She was taken to the stateroom by others. When she awakened and he was missing she then went to the shipboard spa to keep a pre-scheduled appointment. The husband never showed up for the appointment.

I went on several different cruises in my younger days. iI saw lots and lots of heavy drinking and inappropriate behaviors by married couples. I will never, ever forget one cruise where there was a group of about 5 medical doctors from Texas staying in a block of rooms near ours. On the second night out, very late, there was a horrendous amount of screaming and yelling out in the hallway. I opened our stateroom door and there was one of the wives laying out in the hallway, half dressed and all beaten up. Doctor hubby had beaten her and thrown her out of their stateroom and locked the door.

My then husband and I brought her into our room, cleaned her up and I loaned her some of my clothes. Eventually another of their friends took her into their room for the night.

This poor woman admitted to me that this was not the first time he had attacked her in this manner. Alcohol fueled his rages.

I went straight to the captain early the next morning - this was a Norwegian cruise - and told him what had happened. He said he would speak to the husband and would inform him in no uncertain terms that if there was any repeat of this behavior he (husband) would be thrown into the brig for the remainder of the cruise.

I remember at the time that I was impressed that there even was a "brig" aboard a cruise ship. Perhaps there wasn't really a brig -- I don't know. But I know I was giving "doc" the fish eye for the remainder of the cruise! Wife had a nice big shiner the next day and he acted like nothing at all had happened!

Anyways, strange things go on aboard these cruise ships. PLUS if you want to get away with murder - to me it seems a cruise ship would be the very place to do it!

Wow that was a good story and so true to much alcohol is not good on a cruise .....I love to cruise and we do every year on the Disney Magic, that is the only line I really feel safe on. Heck by midnight the partying it pretty much over on that boat, BIG SMILE, but I like it that way plus having a teenage son I would not feel safe having him run around on any other ship. I just love your point about if you want to get away with murder....it's really the perfect crime.

If she was planning on taking her own life, I really can't see taking her mother along on the cruise. I just don't buy it, she had to much going for her and she was pretty proud of the weight loss and what she was doing with her life.

Truecrimereport has some interesting info....

They both had surgeries to help them lose weight- not significant in itself, but here are links to their diaries:

Also, this was her second marriage in a handful of years. Here is the link to her first wedding's page:

ETA that Donna Ellis, her mother, was on the cruise with them and in their room.

I don't have a good feeling about this situation, and my guess is that some of these pages may be disappearing soon. Of course, everything I have read says the "investigation" thus far has been quite lax, so there may not be any real follow-up....

UM !!!!!!!!!!!!! anyone noticed any discrepincies !!

Kimberline I looked at all your links and the wedding one is definitely the same pic of Mike in that knot site as the obesity site
but the WOMAN is different ????????????/

And why is there name Rich on the Knot site ?

I'm sorry- I wasn't clear.

It is actually the same woman, but it is a different man.

The wedding site is her FIRST husband, Michael Rich, whom she married in 2005.

The man she was on the cruise with is her second husband, Ray Seitz, whom she married sometime in 2007.

What happened in between is anybody's guess, but it may be telling that she was married to two different men that quickly. No real time for recovery from the first heartbreak- I read a bit of her weight loss diary, and it seems she really was in love with Michael. Too bad things didn't work out.

In an interesting twist, she and her first husband became engaged on a cruise.

And in a weird coincidence that means absolutely nothing, one of her bridesmaids was named Zenaida.

MIAMI — Cruise ship surveillance images show a woman falling overboard hours before her husband reported her missing from the Miami-based Norwegian Pearl last week, U. S. Coast Guard officials said Sunday.
The FBI began an investigation into the woman's disappearance when the 15-deck vessel returned to the Port of Miami on Sunday morning.
"We're looking to see if a crime was committed on the high seas," said FBI Special Agent Michael Leverock

Thanks for that BB. I didn't know they even had cameras! I also heard that many passengers are disappointed because they weren't told of the situation or informed sooner. If she were aboard, couldn't they help to find her?
:behindbar cruise line under fire.

Ive done comparison side by sides

First pic on left is of Jennifer pre lapband surgery , next pic in middle is of her with her BOYFRIEND Michael one year after surgery and the last pic is on the knot as per your link of Michelle and Michael Rich at their wedding

Untitled-5copy.jpg

I don't think that she is the same woman as the first two pics but HE is definitely the same guy

also in her online diary she mentions AFTER her wedding and Honeymoon her thanks to her good friend RAY - that is one of the links you gave on the obesity site of a Ray S

Im super confused.....

Jane, thanks for the pics.

They are all of Jennifer.

She married Michael Rich in June, 2005 and then they divorced. She married Ray Seitz I believe in early 2008. She and Ray I believe were friends prior as they mention eachother in their diaries. Ray had previously been married also (he mentions his wife Wendy in his earlier diary).

I couldn't find a current pic of Ray, but if you scroll down to the bottom of this link you'll see his pic from 2002 (pre-surgery / weight loss).

Also, here is a pic of the FBI on the balcony.

There is a video at this link and they show their house in Winter Haven (where lived with Jennifer's mother Donna Ellis). The reporter in this video says FBI has ruled out her husband as a suspect ??

Thanks for that link, cloudajo. Very telling that Nestor immediately suspected Contestant No. 1 before he even knew who was missing, and very disturbing that R. Seitz went to the casino after she disappeared to "change his luck."

YW. It is interesting.

The one video said there are 1,000 cameras onboard the ship. I wonder what the video and key card info show.

Just looking at info about this cruise line and thinking of possible scenarios - can hold over 2,000 passengers, 10-12 restaurants, 15 decks, a casino, internet cafe, fitness center, libary, entertainment - some or all open 24 hours. It was Christmas night. Just wondering if Jennifer said she wasn't feeling well and if her husband and mother went out for the evening and didn't get home until the early morning hours, when they discovered her gone.

Kerry Sanders was on MSNBC before and said authorities are now "backing away" from the white bathrobe description. Something about the infrared video and objects showing up white. I think he also said the video is from the front area of the ship looking back, and that something is seen falling, so the video may not have a good shot of the balcony or those details, just of her as she's falling. I had been wondering how good/specific the video was.

The railing doesn't look very high in these pics, does it? It looks like it's lower than the guy's chest. It shows them measuring the height. It shows a chair pushed up against the railing. Would a chair be necessary if one were going to jump over?
