Mexico Mexico - Rebecca Coriam, 24, Disney Cruise Employee, Coast of Mexico, 22 March 2011

After reading on some of those "cruise bruise" websites IDK if I will EVER go on a cruise. There are SO many suspicious deaths and dissapearances on cruise ships and the companies don't even try to help families or take responsibility! Unbelievable!

This seems to be a family who will never give up and will do whatever they can to keep the memory of their daughter/sister alive. I doubt they will ever get the answers they want but, we can only hope somewhere along the line it will be solved.

Just heard about this case. Gonna poke around on that cruise website, to give myself nightmares I guess.

I wonder if it's been ruled out whether or not Sidney and Tammy Moorer were on any of those cruises. :moo:

I remember reading about this case a while ago. I can't find the article where I read it, but I'm sure I remember there was something about her flip flop being found on deck 6? There was a story about a crew member sweeping up the next morning and finding it. That's one of the reasons the Disney ppl said it was suicide IIR

Edit: Found it:

Quite interesting article, as the writer goes on board the same ship to try and find out anything

Former Hope University student Rebecca Coriam, 24, is believed to have fallen overboard from the Disney Wonder ship off the coast of Mexico in 2011. Her body was never found.

Now former deputy prime minister John Prescott and the MP for Rebecca’s home city of Chester are calling for a UK inquiry into her disappearance.

Labour’s Chris Matheson will say in a new BBC documentary: “I believe there’s sufficient evidence to indicate a crime may well have taken place.

My theory on this Possible murder cover up or even maybe an abduction - and yet the McCanns get way more media coverage

Disney settled out of court with the family of Rebecca Coriam for an undisclosed amount sometime in 2015.

“The case has been resolved,” says Jim Walker, the Miami-based attorney who has represented the Coriams in the U.S. “They’re pursuing an inquest in the U.K., but I’m not supposed to talk about the case.”

Several current and former government and law enforcement officials in the U.K., convinced that Coriam was the victim of foul play, are pushing to open alternative investigations into her disappearance. British Parliamentarian Chris Matheson, who believes Coriam may have been murdered, has teamed up with a former police investigator to probe the former Disney employee’s final moments. A website dedicated to Coriam is appealing to the public for tips. And U.K. officials have told friends of the family that they are contemplating opening a formal inquiry.

Disney officials always insisted these last-seen images of Rebecca were taken on Deck 5, not far from the door to the bow where, they say, the former Liverpool Hope University student was later swept overboard after a freak wave.

But the CCTV, with a date, time and the camera's location clearly on the bottom of the video, state the phone call was instead made from Deck 1.

Earlier in March, it was claimed how the flip flops handed to Rebecca’s heartbroken parents, when returning her possessions, did not belong to her.

The footwear, said to have been left on the edge of the ship where Disney reckoned she fell overboard, bore a different signature and cabin number.

The Coriam family have queried how their daughter could have been swept over a 6ft-plus high wall, where Disney later laid flowers on deck to mark the tragedy.

Last month, Rebecca’s favourite shorts were ripped when they were handed back to her parents, raising questions as to whether this was evidence of a violent struggle just before her death.

There's images from the CCTV too

Suspicion has grown over Rebecca’s presumed death after it emerged her credit card, which was not found among her personal belongings, was used two months after she went missing.

The last glimpse of the 24-year-old was on CCTV, showing her on an internal ship phone, during which she appeared to get upset.

Mike and Ann Coriam are still being denied access to files which, they believe, would help them understand more about the Liverpool student’s presumed death.

Cheshire Police are refusing to send a copy to Rebecca’s parents for ‘Data Protection’ reasons, stating it contained ‘restricted’ personal details.

The Foreign Office, who also have the report, are preventing it being forwarded to the Coriam family, even rejecting Freedom of Information requests to obtain it, by their investigators.

A Cheshire Police officer, who has since retired, visited Rebecca’s parents shortly after she went missing and revealed the existence of the report.

Bill Anderson, a Liverpool-based Maritime Investigation Coordinator, helping Rebecca’s relatives, told the ECHO: “Repeated attempts to get this document have failed.

These are the flip flops given to missing cruise ship worker Rebecca Coriam by Disney, which show they didn't actually belong to her.

The flip flops were found near the edge of Deck Five - where Disney insisted she went overboard - but not taken away by police for forensic examination. Further concerns emerged when the Coriam family noticed the footwear was a size-and-a-half too small for Rebecca, and her friends confirmed they never saw her wearing them.

Today I have read my first article on Rebecca Coriam. I am truly shocked that this case hasn't been blown wide open! The last post on this thread was from nearly a year ago and still today we have no new information?

Things we know:
She took/made a phone call in the early morning
It is ASSUMED that it was her girlfriend
Another worker on the ship talked to her after the phone call
She was last seen on CCTV on deck 1
She was presumed "overboard" from deck 5
The flip flops do not belong to her (too girly/flashy, not the right size, another's name written on them)
Her credit cards were used after she was declared missing
Her facebook password was changed after she was declared missing

Here are my questions:
Where is her girlfriend? And has she been questioned?
Where is the ship worker that talked to her after her phone call? Has he been questioned?
Does disney cruise lines not have a call log?
Why havent the other CCTV videos been made available? There is no ground uncovered on a cruise ship

I too just saw an article about Rebecca and immediately read it as I'm invested in the case of Amy Bradley (disappeared from a cruise ship in 98 in Curacao.)

Seems to me like the people aboard both Amy's ship and Rebecca's know more than is being told.

This is deplorable, reminds me so much of Amy Bradleys case. These cruise ships will do anything and everything to cover up anything that might reflect a negative light on their public image. I will never go on a cruise for this reason.

This is one of the few cases that has really struck me and find to be such a mystery.
I feel sure that Disney is covering something up in order to not ruin their reputation as a family oriented brand, which leads me to believe foul play is most definitely involved...
I feel sure this was not an accident and that Rebecca was pushed overboard. The question is by whom... who has motive? If we can look deeper at her interactions with people that day then we may be one step closer.

I know this is a jump, but isn't there any chance that as per the article and last shown photos of her (dressed in mans clothes) that she was physically assaulted in some way, perhaps by another member of staff? Then had rung her friend/colleague to discuss and they had told her to go to medical for assistance? Seems that's the way she would of been headed from deck 1.

Wonder if her attacker then got wind and thrown her overboard?
