Mexico Mexico - Rebecca Coriam, 24, Disney Cruise Employee, Coast of Mexico, 22 March 2011

I wouldn't be surprised if she jumped. My friend was a spa staff on Royal Caribbean. They are overworked, underpaid and have little to do on their off time other than drink and hook up with other crew members.

Westerners take these jobs to run away from things at home or relationships. Then they find themselves on this floating prison working 12 hours a day.

One night in November 2001, I was barhopping in Istanbul. It was during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan and the only places I could find serving beer were mafia establishments full of trafficked women. One thing I thought was interesting was that both guys who were managing the two different places I went both said they worked for Royal Caribbean during the summer. I don't think they were made guys if they were seasonal workers for a cruise line, but if they were truly working for Royal Caribbean during the summer, that means their cruise ships have these mob associates romping around on the boats. lol.

I also have been trying to find out the story behind activity on her bank account....

The lack of a video may not necessarily be because of a Disney conspiracy. A killer, especially an employee, could've had an awareness of the locations of the cameras and chose a blind spot as the place from which to jettison the body.

Daily Mail, keeping the story and the search alive:

'Did she fall? Was she taken off the ship?' Anguished parents no closer to the truth about daughter’s disappearance
---
The as-yet unseen CCTV footage from the deck where Rebecca is alleged to have last been seen, has been released to the Bahamian police. Because the Disney Wonder is registered in the Bahamas, police there are handling the investigation.

However, the Coriams believe the video could contain vital clues and hope to have the footage brought to the UK for investigation.

Rebecca Coriam: parents' anguish over cruise ship worker's mystery disappearance

VIVACIOUS Rebecca Coriam was living the dream. She was travelling the world with pals as she worked on a luxury cruise ship.

The 24-year-old spent her days organising activities for children, she had no worries and was looking forward to taking her parents and sister on a surprise trip to Paris on her return home.

So that made her disappearance from the Disney Wonder as it travelled on a week-long voyage from Los Angeles to Mexico all the more baffling.

What happened to Rebecca in March remains a mystery, yet she is just one of many similar incidents – 19 people this year alone – in which cruise ship passengers have vanished.

MP slams failure to investigate incident on ship flying flag of convenience

An MP highlighted the difficulties involved in investigating incidents on ships flying flags of convenience in the House of Commons yesterday, criticising the “appalling record” of some governments to look into them properly.

Stephen Mosley, MP for the City of Chester, told the House that last year someone from his constituency, Rebecca Coriam, went missing from a Bahamas-registered Disney cruise ship off the coast of Mexico.
