GUILTY MI - Chelsea Bruck, 22, Frenchtown Twp, 26 Oct 2014 #5

Keeping straight the who's who of the Julia and Chelsea cases, and how they relate to one another has been difficult for me - who knew who, who had gone to school together, who were Facebook friends, who had family ties to whom... .

Relationships seem import to expanding our understanding of both cases. There have recently been posts on the Chelsea thread that suggested possible links to an older group of Halloween party goers, and there are murmurings of multiple undeclared POI's in LE's lens.

In hopes of expanding the context of the cases, I've worked up a Google map that focuses on the key characters who make up the context of the cases. None are suspects, and most are above suspicion. Some are probably even be irrelevant to understanding the cases. Here's the link to it.

Please let me know if you notice errors, or have suggestion for adding information to it.

It was one of the other bands' video, I think. I can tell you the one friend is as close to sketch as anyone I have seen.

I think I know which friend you mean. Agreed, the friend's appearance is very close to the sketch and he was at the party. Another who was on the guest list, but it's unknown if he was at the party has the initials SB and graduated from Airport High School. It's said he lived in Toledo and now Monroe. His appearance is very close to the sketch too. I haven't heard if he was at the party though. I've also entertained the idea that CB walked off with the sketch guy, who exited to his car, and CB found another ride. Maybe someone whom she contacted on someone else'es phone who hasn't come forward. Someone she trusted to give her a ride who turned on her.

I too have gotten a bit overwhelmed with all the initials and friends of friends with more initials, and find Im no help in pin pointing or figuring out who's friends with or contected to whom.

Yes, it's a complicated tale indeed. I'm sure LE has their capable hands very full sorting through the extended cast of characters.

Thanks for the feedback! I'd like to think that the map is an easier alternative to searching thru the tread for the various bits of information it contains, but it's still a haystack, I'll grant, and the text is ponderous. I'm still working thru the approach and would very much appreciate any suggestions on how to make it more accessible and user friendly.

You have been helping all along, actually, as has DMC (thanks for that call out below!) and a lot of other WS posters. I should have credited you all up front. It would have been a very sparse map if I did it on my own.

Sounds like they certainly have a lot to deal with for such a small community, and LE staff.

They are talking about a fairly dense area of more than a couple of communities.

Forager, your maps are very helpful. I just don't have any good suggestions for making them any better. Would be nice to have a list of all the maps in one place/post so I don't forget to check them occasionally. I should have been keeping better track all along, but reality bites sometimes and I get sidetracked.

I cannot help but wonder if this new push of the sketch is to make the perp feel "safer" that they're still looking and have no leads? I got the distinct impression from the LE Presser that the sketch was a NO COMMENT, but now we're back to the sketch publicly again.

I find it interesting that HB (the "Hero") lives so close to where parts of CB's costume was found. Makes me look a little closer at him. I wonder what time he left the party. Who he rode with, if anyone. He doesn't look much like the sketch to me. So, if he was involved in some way it seems like he was with another male. Or, maybe he could have dressed up like Harry Potter. Although it seems like if he was dressed like Harry Potter it would've come out by now because of all the media attention generated from the false police report.

Agree. I see the hapless "Hero" as being a peripheral cast member in this horrific tale.
