MONROE COUNTY, Mich. - A 27-year-old Newport man was charged Monday with second-degree murder in connection with Chelsea Bruck's death.

"I don't want a bond. I'm not even going to ask for one," Clay told a judge at his arraignment.

He did ask for a court-appointed attorney, and will be held until his next court hearing on July 28...

I think the whole "it was a accident and rough sex" phone call confession was him trying reel in his GF into thinking just that. His BF said lately he wasnt there for DC. I am sure people have grown tired of his routine.

Sorry if it was a accident he could of ditched the panties and jewelry long ago. He took them from residence to residence. WHY? if it was an accident whoever you are living with could of came across them. No he kept them as trophies... that dont seem like a accidental death to me.

If it was accidental...he would've called 911 ASAP. Not dump CB like trash. Leave her in the elements. Allow her family to suffer. If he was a human being and made a "mistake"...he would have reacted differently. I don't buy it for a minute. He allowed this nightmare to continue. The searches. The pleas to the public. That is inhumane. That is pure evil.

Julia Niswender murder was mentioned in comments under TV broadcast..................someone waning to know if he is connected to her death. I did not follow her story very close 3 years ago............just throwing this info out there

And that is *exactly* what those of us following the Niswender case want to know.

He also disposed of her costume in another location, to throw off the LE (IMO).

I don't know why he isn't charged with first degree murder. I believe this was premeditated, planned.

I wonder what car he was driving? I doubt this total loser/slacker has a car.

I was just thinking that I bet they are trying to track down the vehicle he left with her in, I bet there is evidence still somewhere in there.

I've been obsessed with Manheim, wondering if a vehicle was pulled off that lot and then put back after the crime.
It's proximity is so notable.

I hope he rots in jail but after hearing about this guy's history I'm pretty sure the night of the party he was doing more then weed and alcohol. An I wouldn't be surprise if the defense goes that route that he was bombed out of his skull.

Once again... where is the car they left in?

A few of his friends said they don't recall him having a car. He was co-dependent on others for where he lived and how he got around.

I guess the car will be the key, on whether someone else was involved?

And, btw...this loser will get change of venue most likely. So we need to brace for that.

Nope ... I don't think so, and Monroe trials are generally short. I think he doesn't have long until he takes up permanent residence. The way he has acted so far, he just might confess to everything and forego a trial. Of course, lawyers will try to talk him out of that. Being a drifter of sorts, this may be one way for him to stay put instead of crashing with whatever girl will have him. He won't need a job or any other responsibilities.

Somewhere on a FB post, a girl said he was a foster child in her home for a time. We haven't heard anything about parents yet. Where are they?

Once again, I want to applaud all law enforcement who worked on this case.

Brief update on WDIV 4:00PM news. More in reports at 5:00 and 6:00PM.

Well *if* the loaner of the car wasn't involved and had half a brain they would call the cops and tell them, "Hey you should know I lent him my car". If they loaned it out and found blood or something else hanging out in there and said nothing that just makes it look way worse for them.

Kilen, I am sorry you had to shut the FB page down, but glad to have you here when you feel able. If I may ask an awful question, are we right that he actually had some of Chelsea's things with him at this last home? If they were actually hers, he is really up Sh--. Creek without a paddle!

Makes me me wonder if he even had a driver's license, or if he had access to an old red truck.

As for bond, he has no money and it doesn't appear his friends or family are going to bail him out. The writing is on the wall, dude.
