Unfair that the family has to sit through bickering about technicalities in the legal system process and how police act on tips, blah blah blah, it's all BS and so exhausting, I truly cannot imagine. Just postponing justice.

Can someone tell me if Floyd didn't get convicted on what happened to Dani, when he would get out of prison?

It's been more than five-and-a-half years since Danielle Stislicki went missing. While no one has been convicted, a man was charged with her murder in 2019. He's been waiting to go on trial ever since.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (FOX 2) - An evidentiary hearing in the case of a man charged with the disappearance of a missing Farmington Hills woman was adjourned before it took place.

The scheduled hearing Wednesday was adjourned prior to its 2:30 p.m. slot, the court said. No new date has been determined.

Wednesday's hearing was originally intended to do with evidence in the case. Attorneys for Galloway had accused the former police chief of Farmington Hills of breaking the law when he received the results of a polygraph test that the defendant took with the former police chief of Troy.

The defense called the sharing of information a violation of due process. It's the latest development in a case that is now creeping on six years with no resolution.

Attorney for Danielle Stislicki’s accused killer wants more files from AG, asks judge to make it happen

Attorney Ellen Michaels has filed a motion asking the court to enforce a request for documents on what transpired at the Attorney General’s Office after leaked information made its way there.

The attorney for Danielle Stislicki’s accused killer, Floyd Galloway, said she won’t decide on calling witnesses to testify about leaked polygraph findings and their effects on the case until an Oakland County judge rules on her request for additional related information from prosecutors at the Attorney General’s Office.

So far, McMillen has held four evidentiary hearings on the leaked lie detector findings. At Friday’s hearing, assistant attorney general Danielle Russo Bennetts called her final witness, 45th District Judge Jamie Powell Horowitz, who was working as an assistant attorney general when the office took over the case and it was assigned to her. Horowitz testified that learning the leaker’s identity was critical to determine whether or not the tip was made by an accomplice in the homicide. She also said Mayer was obstructing justice in his refusal to reveal the leaker’s name.

Once she knew who the leaker was, Horowitz said, she felt comfortable moving forward with a warrant against Galloway. The case landed in the hands of Bennetts after Horowitz was elected judge in 2020.

On Aug. 17, McMillen will hold a hearing on Michaels’ filed motion regarding the prosecution’s documentation. Final arguments will subsequently be heard.

Trial is scheduled for Nov. 28.
 
Since we are (hopefully) getting close to trial, I went back and watched the prelim from 2019 to refresh my memory on the facts. There is one thing they talked about that I missed--a fingerprint found at 30000 Orchard Lake. It was disclosed by the FBI cell phone expert and it seems FG was there the morning of the murder just after 10:00. Unfortunately, the defense cuts off the prosecutor when she starts to talk about it.

Does anyone know what that is all about? I googled the address and it is the address for Orchard Medical Center which appears to be an urgent care business. I google walked it and changed the date on the map to Nov 2016 and it was the same business back then.

They start to discuss it in the prelim at about 16 minutes here

Maybe Dani hurt him while fighting for her life and he considered going to get care.
