You will knock me over with a feather if it turns out that a HT grabbed her at work, nicely drove her car home, tucked all personal belongings in the car probably out of sight of a thief no less and parked it back in her spot. That is the act of an emotional person who had a connection. Whatever that is , love, friendship, unrequited love etc etc etc...random abductors don't do that. And they sure wouldn't leave her purse...
They got to the HOI by following evidence. Imo it's highly unlikely that the owner of that house, with what his life had become from a sick wife, was trafficking women.
My vote is crime of passion...whether a real relationship or unrequited.

Human Trafficking is possible.

But are we saying that not 1 john or person near the realm wouldn't call and collect that $130k for the information leading to her safe return?

In regards to FG we should not rule out that two events are being misinterpreted as one. It is absolutely possible that DS and FG had a relationship that was "under the radar". Something happening to her could be a separate event that just so happens to bring light to a second uncomfortable situation. I think it may explain some of the reactions from various family members and friends of both DS and FG. If they let it go public that there was a "relationship" that had nothing to do with her disappearance, then perhaps people might jump to conclusions (like we are). This scenario would explain DNA in FG's home and cars matching DS and vice versa. He could have been the last person to see her. The secretiveness that goes along with an affair rivals anything illegal for those involved, and it would leave FG looking guilty before the story is told.

I understand and that this is a bit devil's advocate, but I'm still giving it some serious thought.

And I will add another thing ...

IF this was a relationship, there will be PROOF to back it up. Nobody will believe him just because he *says so*. There will be a trail and the truth will out, no doubt about it. That's Danielle's chance to speak.

Has it been reported by LE that her phone was taken out of state? Honestly, in any scenario I've considered (including trafficking), it doesn't make sense that she would still have access to her phone. If it was taken out of state, it could have been a ruse. But she obviously didn't leave voluntarily and the perp likely ditched her phone early on. JMO

I am 100% against H.T. theories. I understand the rationale for people who hold on to that theory but I take their same facts and interpret them to mean the police found out her phone was taken out of state.

Your point was good. Thanks and good night!

Thank you for clearing that up. That makes it easier to understand. I've never lived in a complex so I wasn't sure

It really could be that simple. Since I lost one of my children, I have met many other parents who have lost children - but due to different circumstances. I've shown support by participating in events for their cause. For example, I've participated in several Out of Darkness Walks to raise money for suicide prevention and awareness even though my son died in a car accident.

Cricket: I'm very sorry for your loss. I can't begin to imagine what you went through, so I'll send you a cyber {{{HUG}}}.

Dani looks really young, is petite, and in good shape. She could easily pass for 20 years old, IMO. Pervs who hire escorts don't ask their real age, they don't care. All they care about is looks. Because of this, I don't think we should rule out HT on her age alone. I know she doesn't fit the profile because she likely wasn't groomed or on hard drugs either, but crazier things have happened.

so in what you have here, how do you figure the security guard who was an acquaintance in this? They have searched his home 2 times and taken evidence to test, including 2 cars and a mattress.

What a frightening story, but it does speak to what has been commented on elsewhere about the the problem of trafficking in Michigan. While the "Katie" referenced may fit more of the norm of a victim, it frustrates me that some are quick to dismiss DS as being a victim based on her not fitting some fictitious, prehistoric profile. Since when did we give hardened criminals so much credit for being intelligent? They are motivated by money, don't really fear getting caught and DO make stupid mistakes. Grooming a victim takes time to "win them over", abducting someone, taking them out of state and forcing them into drug-use and prostitution is a much quicker avenue and is always an option. All MOO
While I don't rule out HT at all and in fact hope that my theory against it is wrong, dismissing the theory of HT for me comes down to a lot more than just a random "doesn't meet the criteria. " I don't expect everyone to agree nor do I believe that criminals "follow rules." With over 10 years of experience working professionally with victims of trauma, participating in HT stings in Wayne County, and extensive training and education in the topic (I facilitate may trainings, in fact, and have worked with the senator mentioned), this case just does not speak HT to me. Not just because she doesn't fit the typical age etc but because the case facts don't point to it IMO.

I hope I'm proven wrong and that she is safely returned home.

I keep going back to the possibility of the SG taking off and still having DS with him now, hiding out. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but it's possible he has hired a lawyer on his behalf but isn't even in the state. Since he hasn't been charged with anything (yet), he has every right to take off. It's suspicious, but not illegal. The reason he deleted and then reactivated his FB could be because he wanted to talk to his wife (or others) without being tracked. If he's obsessed with DS and was stalking her, I think this is a very real possibility. Now he's gotten in way too deep and doesn't know what to do next. Again, probably just wishful thinking because it means she's alive, but could also explain no ground searches, spreading her pic far and wide, and possible cell pings out of state. Anyone else think it's possible?

It has not been reported that her phone was taken out of state. And of course she didn't leave on her own. But the likelihood whoever took her didn't notice or didn't think about her phone possibly being in a coat pocket (along with her keys) is not far fetched at all. It's more far fetched to think someone snatched her for H.T. and parked her car back home.
In my opinion.

First time poster- have been reading the thread and was surprised by the post of someone who said she turned into the muirwood apartments. So there are two entrances to the apartment complex that i know of. Theres the main entrance that has a guard who writes down who you are going to see and they also take your license to look at it and they write down your name etc. The other "entrance" is only for people who live there. if you don't live there they wont let you in. I know this bc I have a friend who lives in this complex and for a while I would google maps my way to her place. Because her place was close to the non-main entrance, google maps would send me to the non-main one. The first time I went, I had to backup and turn around, i dont believe I was allowed to go through it and then back through to the main road. I was told I needed to go to the main one, either by a guard or someone who was behind me, maybe they had rolled down their window- i dont remember. But just wanted to offer that up- So if she pulled into the main entrance- the guard would have come out and looked her straight in the face and remembered her. Seems like a HUGE lead for FHP especially bc the parents and LE were asking for anyone who saw her during that time.

No, rumor not fact.

Lol. Well, not sure they'd mention that. The "tip" the mention was the school. And thank God the school was on it!

This is my take, also. And I really hope I'm wrong.

One more thing to add to my anti-H.T. campaign. The point that was brought up before. Money was left in her purse.

Anytime there is any kind of break-in and money is not touched, it is a crime of passion.

If you tell me "they didn't want their fingerprints on the money" I will ask, "Did they drive the car without their hands?"

But seriously. Parking a car back at a house and not touching the contents of the purse tells us more than what we've learned from the press.

And I will add another thing ...

Sorry to quote myself here ... but it really is unfortunate that her phone is gone. It would hold so much evidence. I just PRAY there is enough of a trail elsewhere.

The phone records may tell the story or at least fill in the pieces if there is a relationship. Even if they found it in the car, I'm not sure it would help more than the records.

I was thinking this too. But, any specific texts or photos would tell even more.
