Here would be websleuths, way back 1st or early 2nd thread. Not confirmed as a PI, claimed to be one.

Are you talking about the person who posted a few times, maybe a bit more, and then disappeared? At least that is what I recall,

I'm haunted by this theory. SG arrives at Metlife with no car, joins D.S.r, camera capture them leaving MetLife. He takes her across state boundaries, possibly implied by phone movement--EITHER of their phones. Once the police determine this, searches are called off. Widespread photos are encouraged. Mom's afraid she' been taken against her will (at this point no one knows if she went willingly because he is missing, too) and asks about her demeanor. "Did she look scared?" I think another clue is that her mother seemed more concerned about the demeanor of DS than whether she was alone in the car or not. Her car is returned back to then house and the wallet isn't touched because this person is motivated by passion, not money.
In terms of a search warrant. If SG was not at the home, would police wait until he was there to do seafrch toga other clues from his demise and for questioning? They knew when the wife came home he would be there so they possibly waited until then and it wasn't a coincidence the timing....

They searched it previously before.

I remember they searched twice. Was the wife supposedly gone for the first search?
I remember someone a while back saying their theory included the wife returning and calling LE because something was off.
Just trying to see if that idea fits (to me) or if LE had already been in the home before she came back.

No confirmation on that, all considered rumors. Only thing confirmed was by MSM that the wife got out of hospital the day before the 2nd search.

Some people have theorized the possibility somebody who had access to the SG's home as the potential person of interest, not the SG. But I wonder...

If the S.G. was NOT the potential P.O.I. would the police have even referenced him as the homeowner or bothered saying they were acquainted? Technically he isn't even the home owner (from what I've read). He must be who they are focusing on.

And if the SG is the potential POI and the disappearance motivated by money, wouldn't her wallet disappear? Human trafficking, no way. There are all types of lunatics wandering the Detroit area that would be much safer and much easier to target than a former colleague walking out to her car in a large parking lot.

And can't we presume the SG has had some sort of training in security and a respectable awareness which would prevent him from planning a crime at his former place of employment?
Consider yourself. If you were offered money to snatch a body would chose to do it where you used to work? No way! The only excuse to execute a crime at your workplace is if it is a crime of passion.
Otherwise it is as stupid as putting on a mask and robbing the bank you work at. I don't think SG is that dumb!

If you snatched someone, would you even bother returning their car back to their apartment? Why, when the city of Detroit is at your door and abandoned cars aren't uncommon. No one cares except the thief who likely snatches it. Wouldn't draw any attention in the Big D.

The only logical explanation for returning a car is to cover your rear because you are known as an associate to the missing person and keenly aware you may have been seen. It is the best attempt of trying to change the police focus, especially because you committed it where you worked.

This case has crime of passion written all over. The only debatable issue, in my mind, was it a romance gone awry or a disgruntled admirer.

I just wanted to point out, while not all Human Trafficking is reported, all happy missing women from the suburbs with families that love them ARE. All of them.
If they turn up alive having been trafficked or sexually assaulted the threads won't just go poof and disappear, what happened and who did it is still reported on the news.
The wonderful caring mods here redact the names and we use initials thankfully but other sites do not. Think KB in the Todd Kohlhepp case. Once one of these women go missing with all of this attention they can't put the cat back in the bag.

These are just some reasons why Traffickers know not to mess with women like this. They are evil and know exactly who to prey on. I can only imagine what would happen to the guy in a human trafficking ring who brought in a girl with the attention Danielle is getting. And what John is going to want their DNA on someone that sought after? Most of these guys (the ones not seeking children) aren't thinking trafficking, they are just thinking they have a couple hundred extra bucks and go to Backpage to cut out the middle man (escort service), please don't think I am being sympathetic to these men, just saying they aren't usually thinking of anything beyond...

Someone mentioned that the ages of the women on Backpage show the vast ages of trafficking victims, and I wanted to point out, Backpage is not used solely by traffickers, many are independent prostitutes advertising for themselves since Craigslist cracked down. (Not saying that site isn't rampant with Trafficking)

Again, like I said before, I find people are tending to lump all prostitution in with trafficking, and things that would just be considered disgusting pimp behavior is also being included in statistics (ie luring them, getting them hooked on drugs, not letting them leave) If someone is stalking you or your kids or your friends and their kids, it's most very likely never going to be a trafficker, unfortunately it's usually much worse, which is why most cases here end up so badly. I just feel like there is an extreme and unrealistic panic about traffickers lurking and snatching up pretty white young girls and women, seems every decade or two has it's panic. This IS happening and these women/children need help but part of them getting help is to truly understand how these sorts of creeps REALLY work and how these poor souls actually do end up trafficked.

Last tidbit, even on the cases with no bodies or arrests, in almost any I can think of, we all pretty much know what happened and who did it, just waiting for enough proof, there are few true mysteries. I'll leave this topic alone now, but think, of all the cases you followed on here, not one person could link to even ONE trafficking case (regardless of age) that wasn't known or thought to be trafficking from the get go, at least not with a person in a non high risk lifestyle. Not all rapes are reported, but SOME are, why aren't there ANY reports of trafficking with this demographic?

To those who suspect it may have been a crime of passion, a question.....

Do you believe the perpetrator was upset because his advances were rejected

Or

Do you believe a mutual romance went awry

And on what grounds would you defend your position???

Myself, open to both scenarios but leaning towards a mutual romance......

It's understandable that people suspect HT because of comments made at the press conference, mainly the strong possibility she is out of state the fear of being held against her will, and a seemingly urgent call to widely circulate her photo. And of course, that coupled with a lack of Michigan searches.

But it is even likelier these things were the result of a camera which captured them together in a car coupled with technology which pinned that same car out of state.

Even though both are a possibility, the untouched purse spoints to the latter.

This! All of it. IMO, definitely a disgruntled admirer. The question about SG as the POI... Besides DS's car, have there been any reports of the make or models of the other two cars that were retrieved for examination?

Why do you think disgruntled admirer? I'm interested in exploring what makes some of us think disgruntled admirer and other, disgruntled lover. It's not fair or smart to base it off of "she just doesn't seem like that kind of girl" People likely say the same about him

Outside of the perp walking back, it's difficult to imagine them leaving there without an accomplice, eye witness or a taxi record. But then some of these criminals have done dumber things.

Since it was maybe a week before the first search, something obviously pointed to the HOI. My thoughts are either eyewitness can place the SG at Metlife that day or cell history can place the two together that day. I think it's quite possible SG took an Uber/taxi to and/or from the vicinity of DS's apt or he made a call or text to someone to take him to and/or from the area. We have no idea if LE have talked to any friends about his whereabouts. I'm also not ruling out a disgruntled wife being the cause of or okaying the first search.

Pics may be in a cloud?

I know mine automatically sends things to my Google Drive account when I have wifi, but I think I had to set it like that so it wouldn't use data ???? Hopefully hers auto updates.

In my opinion - If the phone pinged out of state, doesn't mean Dani was with the phone.

I'm also not ruling out the it was SG's phone that pinged out of state or in Canada either.

Also open to both scenarios just because I haven't seen anything to confirm one or the other. I definitely think there was a known history between the two whether negative (rejection) or positive (romantic) just due to how quickly LE had their sights on SG.

I think in a rejection situation, it was likely SG misinterpreted DS's friendliness as flirting or mutual interest and was shot down or DS was adamantly against anything involving a married man.

But I can't rule out mutual romance either. I don't want anyone to think I'm judging DS either. No one can control emotions and she may have not even known SG was married. Not everyone runs a background check on a potential love interest. And people have been known to lie.

Crime of passion is my top theory. I don't think this was a random encounter with a random crazy.

I don't think that I can answer this without violating the WS code. My answer is way beyond, not that kind of girl/guy thing. It's much deeper. You can delete a profile on FB, but you can never erase your public activity. SG's extracurricular activities are very well documented and the dates are fascinating. I believe he stayed in the state of Mi with her as well. Hopefully, there are answers soon.

Is there a chance it was a random abduction with possible H.T. ties? Sure. Or that the SG that LE mentioned did it to sell her into HT as I have read here? Maybe but highly, highly unlikely. Just going on what we know: the guard worked or had worked at MetLife. So, in one way or another they're acquainted. That basic acquaintance can lead to many things (relationship? maybe. Or maybe something one sided. Either way.) Crime of passion leads to car, purse, etc. being returned.
But the phone! Well, if it was allegedly pinged in Ohio I can tell you that from the SG house in Berkley it only takes a couple of hours to make a trip into Ohio and back. Could have been a ruse, easily. <modsnip>

BBM-
How long would it take to get close enough to the Ohio border to ping an Ohio cell tower? From Google Maps, it's just a bit under 60 miles to the border, but I have no idea how close you have to be to ping a tower.

- I'm in Berkley and it's just over an hour (traffic depending) down 75 to Toledo. If there are no cell towers before then they are certainly there.

I'm trying desperately to determine if any of the facts we know can be dissected and used to determine whether this was a one-sided romance or two. And then I'm reminded of the words spoken early in the investigation to the effect of "WHY she went missing is unimportant. We just want her back". I try to give myself that advice. But still I chronically wonder WHY.

I am that person no one would have expected of having affairs with married men. And because I cared so much about how I was publicly perceived, I never told anyone what I was doing when this happened nearly 40 years ago. Even a best friend might not know. For that reason it is so incredibly difficult for me to make any judgment based on how she was perceived. I try to look at facts.

Still single at 29 could be indicative of someone who has difficulties with dating relationships. Those types of people might be drawn to people who are not in a hurry to take things to the next step. Maybe the person lives in another state, or ineligible for some other reason. Possibly married.

But if she indeed did spend every weekend sleeping at a female friends home, it becomes less likely she is having an affair. She would want to make herself more available for visits.

Spending the weekends away could be indicative of being stalked.. And the friend may have provided that info to the police. But there's a hole in this logic. I don't think it holds weight because if it did, the friend probably would have been more concerned when she did not show up and contacted the police immediately.

Something to support love gone awry is the request to leave work early. On a Friday a lot of people would be leaving work about that time. Had there been a lovers quarrel they may have agreed to meet in the parking lot for a quick talk. And then, a heated moment.

Something that does NOT support stalking is this: If the colleague was a stalker would he execute his plans at the place where he once was employed ("everyone knows the security guard's face") or would he be more likely to do it at her home where no one was likely to recognize him?

I think the paragraph above is the strongest argument in favor of a love affair gone awry rather than a one sided relationship. It was a heated moment which ended in a way neither expected.
