Lt. Rene Gonzalez, a spokesman for Michigan State Police's First District, said the property in question had been searched before by investigators. He said the investigation is ongoing and further information will be released when it is available.

Police said the family of Dee Warner has been told of the findings.

Dale Warner's attorney, Mary Chartier, said she and her client we're waiting for confirmation that the remains were Dee Warner's.

I sure hope not. The last thing this guy deserves is a deal.
Yes, and I hope that is not the case too.

Is the $50,000 reward still standing for this case? Wonder if maybe someone would be utilizing that approach? MOO

March 10, 2022 online ABC WTVG 13 Action News article by WTVG Staff entitled ‘Family offers $50,000 reward to find Dee Warner’:

Family members told WTVG-TV and WTOL-TV that the remains were found Friday in a sealed, empty tank meant for anhydrous ammonia, which is used as fertilizer for crops.

Lt. Rene Gonzalez, a spokesman for the Michigan State Police, confirmed that the search was conducted Friday but said he couldn’t comment further beyond the agency statement because of the ongoing investigation.

Human remains have been found on the property of the husband of Dee Ann Warner, a Michigan woman who has been missing since 2021, police said Sunday.

The search with a judge's approval took place in Lenawee County was part of the investigation into her disappearance, Michigan State Police said. The remains have not been identified.

"The remains are currently in the process of being recovered and there will be a great deal of work and testing completed before positive identification is made," state police said in a statement.

Dee Ann Warner's family has been notified of the discovery, the agency said...

How devious. I can totally see how something like that would be missed in a search.

Dee’s brother, Greg Hardy, showed Local 4′s Victor Williams exactly where his sister’s presumed remains were found inside a barn. He said they were in an anhydrous tank, sealed in an airtight cylinder in the dark, potentially for years.

“I wasn’t here at the time that they removed the tank,” Hardy said. “But it was sitting in here separate from these other tanks that are over here.”

The family believes those remains will be positively identified as Dee Warner. An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday as officials try to be 100% certain that it’s her body.

“In the dark of night, in a building that had no cameras -- slide her body in there, put the end cap back on it, and weld it completely shut,” Hardy said. “Then attach that to a chassis, paint it, even have the gall to put his logo on it to make it look like it was normal, and then took it and stored it with other tanks so it would like it was just another one of the fleet.

Family members said this has been very difficult for Dee Warner’s 12-year-old daughter. “It’s obviously been traumatic for her,” Hardy said. “She has a father in jail and a mother who’s dead.”
Sounds like she would've been around 9 when her mom "went missing." Has she been living with daddy dearest since then? MOO.

So relieved to see this. I hope it is her, for her families sake. This is a couple counties away from me, but every now and then I go to that area for events (they have great coffee shops out there and great antiquing!!). There are “Justice for Dee” signs all over! I’m always surprised it hasn’t been a bigger story in MSM. JMO!!
I dont live too far from there either and whenever we go to Techumseh, I always think about her.
So glad they found her.
Perhaps he made a plea deal ?? ( I hope not, he doesn't deserve anything) but curious what took them there ??

In the article it says Dee’s brother suggested they look there. The tank looks intact when they hauled it off so the must’ve used some type of radar/sonar to determine that there was something inside it.

Human remains found on Warner property, family believes remains are that of missing woman Dee Warner

[...]
A family spokesperson told 13 Action News the human remains were found in a sealed tank meant for anhydrous ammonia, used in fertilizer for crops, on part of the Warner property on Aug. 16. The chemicals weren’t in the tank at the time of the discovery, a family spokesperson said. The tank was sealed shut with a tag on it that said “do not use.”

Dee’s brother, Gregg Hardy, said investigators showed family members an X-ray of the tank, showing a body inside of it. He said he was in disbelief at first.

“You know what we’ve now discovered is so far fetched, who would have thought? You know who could have even dreamed that up?” Hardy said.

Prosecutorial documents say the night before she was killed, Dee had her friend pick up the Warner’s daughter because she was going to tell Dale they were getting a divorce. She didn’t want the child there to witness the fight. Other than Dale, Dee’s friend was the last person to see her alive.

Prosecutors say that Dale admitted to fighting with Dee that night about “money and infidelity; the argument being the worst argument of his life,” the court documents read. Dale told investigators he left their home around 6:00 a.m. the next morning while Dee was sleeping on the couch, but officials say “every statement” Dale has given about that morning is inconsistent.
