Does anyone else feel it is unusual for a judge to instruct the jury not to take notes???????

So far nothing new? I was thinking that perhaps something would come out in opening statements that we did not know about. But it seems everything was what was expected from what i am reading

Good point. Note taking might just be for Opening Statements as u say. Yet I have seen trials where no note taking allowed at all.

I believe you are correct. Opening statements are not evidence. No notes. They have notebooks so they should be allowed to make notes during testimony.

Some Judges feel it's best for jurors to rely on their memories of testimony.
