A Muskegon County sheriffs detective watched Willis at the Meijer store on Harvey Street on May 11 six days before his arrest.
Police say Willis sat in his silver minivan for about 15 minutes before driving up and down aisles in the parking lot slowly.
I can only speculate as to what he was doing there and why he was there, but certainly law enforcement was there watching him and, had he tried to do anything, he would have been stopped almost immediately, Hilson said.

MUSKEGON COUNTY, MI A five-page list of "serial killers of the U.S." along with three pages of women's names and telephone numbers tucked together in a bag were among items seized from accused murderer and kidnapper Jeffrey Willis' home, according to search warrant documents.
The lists along with handwritten addresses and vehicle information were in a canvas bag tucked in a shed attic roof when law enforcement officials searched Willis' home the day of his arrest May 17, according to the documents.
Also found in the shed, tucked in a roof overhang was a plastic Ziploc bag with unknown colored clothing wrapped in tin foil.

You're very welcome. I did check earlier today to see if there was any 'new' news but didn't see anything so thank you for posting todays update.Thank you for all your updates. I'd imagine the clothing must be from victims and he has wrapped it in tin foil in the zip lock bag to help ensure the smell etc of the victim is kept fresh so he can relive his attacks. I can't think of any other reason he would do this.
"Search warrants used by police reveal new information about accused killer Jeffrey Willis.
"At Willis' home, police seized computers and hard drives and found printed pages inside a canvas bag in the attic of a shed listing "serial killers of the U.S." Also found were printed pages of personal ads with hand written "women's names" and phone numbers."

MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) Jeffrey Willis, who is charged in a string of cases in Muskegon County, appeared in a courtroom Friday for a pretrial hearing.
The hearing was about whether or not evidence from the alleged attempted abduction of a 16-year-old girl in April could be used in the open murder case trial for Rebekah Bletsch.
MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) Six years before the disappearance of Jessica Heeringa, Jeffrey Willis name popped up on a police complaint, alleging he had videotaped a woman walking in a parking lot.
The question now is, should that have led police to Willis sooner?
