In an interview with ABC News, VanAntwerpen said the man seemed to flirt with the 25-year-old mother. "He was just like, 'Hey, what are you doing over here? Aren't you supposed to be inside?' Just kind of being real flirty, weird about it."

VanAntwerpen did not see the man's face, but he says he does remember the sound of his voice.

Looks like the sketch did not come from this witness.
He did not see the man in the vans face.

Back to wondering how they got such a detailed sketch.

Did not see his face???:thud: Yes, who saw this person sooo well to get a good look at him???:waitasec: I really hope we are not running on a wild goose chase here. That would be horrible for Jessica!

sorry, i know some of us are trying to move on from the RSO aspect... but i just noticed that LLL posted a picture of an orange car in "his" garage, January 25th. it's 'his car in side of his garage located at his home'... then the girlfriend says it's "her car". who knows whos it is... but just throwing it out there. looks like a single car garage, similar to the one someone posted about upthread (that had a silver vehicle in it on the google street shot).

both brothers seem to have found God, both have girlfriends/or wives and it looks like MAL has a baby on he way. i just don't know what to think about all of this.

the one thing i DO know is that RSO's shouldn't be on freaking FB! lol i do happen to have a cousin in law thats an RSO and after all this RSO talk, i'm going to go report his fb account!

Very little coverage on the Heeringa disappearance on my local news today (metro Detroit). Other news items taking precedence. There needs to be a major break in this case soon, or the story will be placed on the back burner, if it receives any attention at all. :moo:

I'm hoping they have a confidential informant and they're just waiting for the perfect time to move in. Thinking they know who the guy is so that he will lay low. It takes awhile to assemble a team and get the ball rolling.

If they had a picture or video of the suspect, would they do a sketch from it, rather than releasing it?
Maybe to avoid the possibility of admitting to the perp that they had an actual picture or video of him?
Maybe thinking the sketch is less likely to make him panic and the picture can be a secret weapon later?

I cant find the link right now but when the Sheriff says he was confident and the sketch was a 10 out of 10, I really question how he could be so sure if he doesnt have a darn good witness.

I was counting on the VanAntwerpen guy to have seen his face and been the witness.

Were they able to show someone mugshots and the witness said, "yep, thats the guy" and they drew it from a mugshot?

IDK but I sure feel like I am going in circles with this case.
I hope Jessica is safe and alive and will be home soon.

And if the person who is driving the mini van they are looking for is not involved, he needs to clear his name ASAP.

I understand you having hope, however,
If that were so...I just can't imagining waiting. Every minute, Jessica is in harms way if not already gone.(Sorry I hate typing that:()
If they know who the guy is they need to act NOW!
 
Regarding the attempted abduction in Clinton last year around this time, no idea where LLL was then but interesting comments from his fb around that time or just before.
 
Sounds like a disturbed individual with substance abuse problems. Irrational at times and spewing hateful total nonsense.
 
A second witness spotted the minivan going through the parking lot of the strip mall next door, Norton Shores Police Chief Dan Shaw said. Shaw said police believe Heeringa was already in the minivan at that time.

The article states that it was second witness who aided in the sketch. The people who parked and watched that we heard about early on.

LLL is still on my radar, esp. since he lives so close to the gas station and even closer to the coin place.

"The van left and drove down this alleyway or roadway (in the strip mall), Shaw said. "And as the van went by, she was able to see the driver's face."

So this witness got the description from a passing, moving van at night. Hmmm

As VanAntwerpen was leaving, a silver minivan pulled up just after Heeringa went outside to do some paperwork at the pumps.

SO - she was outside at the pumps "doing paperwork" (taking counts off the pumps? what other paperwork would there be?) about 2.5 hours before she was going to close. there was another report that i quoted a while back that said she was "cleaning a machine" when she vanished. i've always wondered if that meant a pump or a vending machine type of thing in the store.
