I clicked the comment button several times and the page loads with everything on it except comments.

Thank you, BDE, for sending me those insightful comments. Am I allowed to post what I think of the family? I guess I'll keep those opinions to myself.

Perhaps that's why for you? They are facebook posts.

I don't have a facebook page but don't have social media purposely blocked. I can read all but 12 of the comments. When I clicked on facebook, the remaining comments didn't come up. Wonder why.

Ok, I googled "Cloverville Attempted Abduction" and came across this from Clinton, MI:

http://www.northwestohio.com/news/story.aspx?id=746172#.UcHhWPnVDEY

The date is almost one year to the day Jessica was abducted, April 25 2012, near 8pm, and mentions the possibility of a white van...white male suspect...

That is a great find Margarita. You may be on to something here!

I see that the article had a description of the male suspect and also a picture of a full sized white window van from that incident last year.

The full size window van looks like a passenger cargo van to me.

The kind of van I'm thinking of is similar to a van that a business would use to transport crew members to a work site.

Now I keep getting long running script when I try to quote.

trenchmouth, no one has answered you because, I believe no one knows the answer to your question. LE can run images of fingerprints so maybe there's a way to match other images? Don't know.

...But the family may be influencing their decision on SAR operations since they both seem focused on her still being alive (https://www.facebook.com/FindJessicaHeeringa) and (http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/...ce/-/1719418/20319226/-/125phswz/-/index.html).

<respectfully snipped>

:waitasec: I've never heard of a family asserting their influence or interfering with the search for missing persons. Why would LE make decisions about how to run an investigation based on the wishes of the family?

If Jessica is still alive, ground searches might yield important evidence that will help locate the missing mother: shoes, clothing, eyeglasses (if she was wearing them when abducted), etc. I've been to west Michigan many times and know that there are state parks, campgrounds, small lakes, etc. up and down the Lake Michigan coast. There's a lot of ground to cover, and, at the very least, intensive foot searches of the immediate area around Norton Shores should have been conducted early in the investigation. :moo:

Yes, that's some family alright.....their concern is astounding.

Same question I asked when the subject first came up.
TES had the same reaction when the family opposed their help when asked to search in Caylee's case.
Tim Miller said he'd never before experienced the negative reaction from another family like the uncooperative reaction he got from the Anthony family. I never forgot his words which is one of the reasons why I've always felt the A's collectively knew more about what happened to Caylee.

TM started TES because he experienced searching for his missing daughter with no one else to call upon for help.

I was able to view all but 12 of the 40 comments.
I believe I clicked on the word 'comments' posted above the article first.

I counted a total of 40 comments, even though for some reason it said an additional 12, but I can't click on that, so the total anyway is 40 and I saw a total of 40 comments, if that makes any sense.

Oh thanks. I was about to jokingly post "hey, does anybody know why I can't read the final 12 comments!" since I had already mentioned it so many times - lol!

Now, why are they saying there are 12 more comments? Does anybody really care? lol!

While it doesn't prove anything, I would not concentrate on cities North or South of Norton Shores as it would be quicker to jump on US31 NB or SB to get to them. The way the van headed....

City of Muskegon
Muskegon Heights
Cloverville
Ravenna
Anything East of Muskegon in the direction of Grand Rapids...Coopersville would be one.

ok, so I googled "Coopersville Attempted Abduction" and found this in Grand Rapids from Jan 2013:
(wait a minute, wasn't that place mentioned as one of the locations where the creepazoid was lurking at gas stations...that was probably the name of a street, Coopersville exit...)

http://grsouth.wzzm13.com/news/news/76240-grpd-attempted-abduction-alger-heights

(Maybe this guy has already been found?)

It's likely a stretch, but the suspect description could fit with exception of the skinny part (The suspect is described as a white male, in his 30s, about 5'10" tall, skinny, with brown or red sideburns that were sticking out of his hat)...there's a sketch at the link...

He was wearing an AZ Cardinals cap, so I googled the "Arizona Cardinals Orange" and there are some orange shirts available, but their main color is maroon.

What stood out to me about this was "The girl described the suspect's finger nails as being chewed short and he had a tattoo of a guitar on one of his hands."

The vehicle doesn't match, but I don't think anyone should be ruled out for that reason bc they could have a new vehicle or be using a company car, etc., etc...

In these parts - Detroit and across Michigan - orange is likely related to Detroit Tigers apparel, or it's hunting season.

I was out of town for the last week, everywhere we stopped for gas etc. I looked for Jessica, "the van" and the artist sketch. I'm way over here on the west coast, getting ready to move to the middle of America, I'll keep my eyes peeled! Not giving up on you, Jessica.

I also read the news article and read the 40 comments although I couldn't see the last 12. LOL!

In early April there was an attempted robbery/abduction at a gas station in Greenfield, Indiana. The clerk/victim said that the abductor, Brandon Hendrickson, was a regular customer so she was familiar with him. She didn't know him by name though. He had a knife and forced her to open the cash register and told her he was taking her with him.

When she opened the cash register, she was able to hit the panic button. The police responded and found the guy in the parking lot holding a knife. The clerk suffered minor injuries.

If not for the panic button, what would the outcome have been?

The guitar tattoo is pretty interesting seeing as how the exxon is right next to a guitar store..

Again, likely a stretch and probably has nothing to do with anything, but one thing I did notice:

I was just watching Disappeared on ID and saw the episode about the disappearance of Britannee Drexel. She disappeared on April 25, 2009. LE has some viable POIs, but nobody has ever been arrested and her body has never been found. But, one thing I found notable about this date is that Brittanee was on Spring Break. I don't think these cases are related, but Just pointing out the fact that Spring Break can occur during this time. There has been some discussion about the significance of April, other disappearances in April, possible reasons to be traveling during this time....Again, sure its of no significance, but just mentioning it FWIW, if anything.

OMG! I live like 3 miles from that gas station and pass it almost daily and never heard of this story. Scary indeed, and here I thought Greenfield was so safe. Yikes!
