Jessica Heeringa's mother: 'My life has basically ended without her'
NORTON SHORES, MI -- Life as Shelly Heeringa knows it, is over.
For the grieving, sleepless mother of Jessica Heeringa -- the 26-year-old Muskegon woman who went missing a year ago -- her world remains turned upside down.
My life has basically ended without her, said a tearful Shelly Heeringa over the phone from her Nashville, Mich., home.
The hardest part is waking up in the morning and trying to fall asleep at night, she said. Thats when your mind wanders. Its another day that she hasnt been found.
Jessica Heeringa has been missing since April 26, 2013 after she was allegedly abducted while finishing her shift as a night clerk at the Sternberg Road Exxon gas station in Norton Shores, shortly before 11 p.m. As of Friday, April 25, 2014, a suspect or suspects havent yet been publically identified by police and Heeringa remained missing.
Shelly Heeringas last year has been every mothers worst nightmare -- and one so few can relate to, she says...
