According to a press release, a postmortem exam was conducted on Monday and dental records used Thursday were able to identify the body as 39-year-old Kristen Terrian.

Thanks - it was noted in a news report this morning that her body had washed ashore where it was found so it was not the scene of her death. State police are seeking tips in the death of Kristen Terrian.

Michigan State Police are investigating the death of a missing woman found in Lake Michigan this month.

The body of Kristen Terrian, 39, of Gulliver was found Aug. 9 on the western shore of Beaver Island, the MSP Eight District post said on X. Gulliver is about 70 miles west of St. Ignace in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Officials identified Terrian's body with dental records after a postmortem exam on Monday, according to MSP. Detectives have notified her family...
