No, the world is a very beautiful place, it's the people in it that are destroying the peace and the beauty.

Way back when, before *advertiser censored* magazines and you all know to which I refer, there was a lot less rape and murder of children.

Way back when, before drugs - remember the war on drugs? I believe things started to get really bad about then - could be wrong.

Way back when, lots of people were poor, 'cept they didn't know it. Dad went to work, mom stayed home, and they didn't have 2 cars or 3 TV's or a bunch of credit card debt. Perverts weren't treated kindly, and they kinda, sorta "knew better". But, not today - they have as many, if not more rights, than than the average citizen, or your child.

The only reason the world's a colder, crueler place, is because WE have let it become so.

AMEN to that! I can remember a time when we simply did not hear about all the evil in the world and it rarely happened close to our neighborhoods. Children could play up and down the block till after dark, or ride their bikes across town to other neighborhoods to play, and they were safe. Now they are not safe even in their own yards, or their own beds.
Yes, I agree that the world is a much crueler place filled with evil, and we have allowed it.

Just because it wasn't publicized, doesn't mean it didn't happen. It was just kept more quiet.

And not to be contrary, but kids are plenty safe playing in their yards in most areas. We're more paranoid now because we hear more, but this is the same old song and dance about the downfall of society. So has violence, particularly violence against women and children.

The only thing that has really changed with society is that communication is much faster, thus we are exposed to more. It seems like no one is safe, but that's because we're now exposed to news 24/7 from around the globe.

I agree, for the most part. Only proviso - Since there are more people on this planet, then the same percentage of violence = a greater number of incidents.

The articles say she was deceased prior to her body being burned IIRC.

I guess after death, and after being burned, a beam from the roof or something like that could have fallen on her little skull. Poor baby.

But if a burning beam from the roof fell on her skull they might have been able to tell the damage was due to the fire since they would have found remnants of the beam.

I just dropped in to check on the status of this case and read your post! You were posting exactly what I was thinking.............great minds think alike! Yep, I would pawn everything I could to get her out, you know what I mean?:crazy:

The WXYZ-TV article says they could get the DNA results as early as today. If QS gets out on bond I have a feeling she run.

It says a lot that we don't hear anything about massive searches for Mariha. i think the police have an idea what happened and/or who was involved.

Is the third person they are looking for her KS's boyfriend? He seems to have been MIA the whole time. I bet Mariha's little sibling knew that person and told his name.

I really hope we get some news today.

It would be a totally shocking surprise if the little girl found burned in the crack house was not Mariha. There aren't anyother missing little girls around that age who have been reported missing. You're right, LE knows that there is no reason to "search" for this child because IMO they already have found her. Is there any information on the ages of the other children who were in the home? Surely at least one of them saw and heard something pertaining to Mariha. The children have probably been threatened into not telling anything.

As far as I know we only know the ages of Mariha's siblings. 4, 2 and 6 months.

So LE are looking for a third person. One of the children told LE that there were three other adults besides Moriha's mother in the house that early morning. I bet that "third" person is long gone. Sadly, this is looking way too much like Shaniya Davis's case.

Mariha's aunt prayed with the child's cousins that "G-d would protect Mariha's soul." I knew it then.

So am I... I have joined all his fan pages and have been trying to get the Sheriff department I work with to use him solely on cases, so I can meet him someday...

Thank you so much for investigating this for us. That was really bothering me. I hated to hear the news but it is important. I really hoped it was something that happened during the burning of her dead body. But now, thinking someone actually crushed her skull in---I shudder to think about that.
There is so much rage in this killing it seems. It is not like she was raped and then smothered and dumped. Apparently there was no rape, but she was battered and brutalized and then set on fire. And all very quickly.

Could someone be trying to get revenge on her mother or family?

The mother told Local 4 that her sister, Quanita Smith, had failed a polygraph and was being held.

Police said they were also questioning Quanita Smith's boyfriend and two cousins.

One of the cousins, Felisha Smith, said she was the last person to see the girl.

I believe that the next "new" thing on Mariha's case is going to be a positive identification and/or an arrest.
