After it was stated divers, sonar, thermal and dogs had failed to locate Omarion in the park after first search I had serious doubts he was still there. 3-4 dogs sniffing around may miss or lose scent, but 70-80 no way.

There's still something bothering me about him wandering off so many times, but I've eliminated every plausible explanation except for him seeing someone he knew and leaving with them. Or he just didn't want to be around the foster family for whatever reason.

I am leery of assuming anything about the bio family. When families like the Duggars have 19+, there is little assumption that they are "raking" in funds. I see this bio family as victims of a foster parent(s) who failed in their job. Do we know that these kids have been poorly provided for by their bio family? .

Snipped by me

It's been said that the kids were removed for lack of suitable housing. I'd assume, if the bio fam was/is receiving any kinds of financial assistance, they would be using it on housing.

I agree; this family are victims of the foster system.

Friday night, at the same time as the vigil for Omarion, is movie night in Callis Lake Park. The movies are shown on the beach and they plan to go on with the movie this week. The vigil will be in the park behind the Callis Lake Park (the big city park). I know it's probably just me but I would feel weird sitting on the beach watching a movie knowing that someone disappeared from there not quite a week before and was never found. I hope everyone who goes to watch the movie will watch their children really well. Escort them to the bathroom and concession stand, etc. Not let them go anywhere alone. I know it's extremely unlikely that another child would go missing from there in a week's time but I would be a bit paranoid about it if I were taking a child there now, especially after dark.

Bio fan has said they knew he wasn't in the park anymore (according to a previous post), I wonder if their whereabouts have been established. Maybe Mars saww a member of his bio family and kept wandering off to see them. The bio member got mad at the lack of supervision and took him.

The massive technical search was discontinued before the original 5-mile radius had been scoured. Perhaps authorities conducting interviews with biological and/or foster families learned something that prompted LE to halt the search. I hope the foster family is being carefully scrutinized, and I hope other children in their care have been placed elsewhere.

That could very well be. I think if your own child had been taken from you because you couldn't afford adequate housing and placed in the care of someone else, and you saw that he wasn't being watched and provided adequate supervision, to the point of being in danger, wouldn't you be tempted to take your child? Not saying this is what happened, but it could be a good possibility IMO.

Do we know how long Omarion was fostered by this family and had he ever been fostered by another family before? I think I read that other children in his family were being fostered by the same people. I wonder how many and what ages, if this is correct.

^ I read that Omarion had been with this foster family since February of this year.

^ :tyou: mikkismom for this article. Now we know why Omarion and many siblings were removed from the Humphrey home and placed in foster care. Yes, it's terrible that the boy went missing on the foster parents' watch, but his parents weren't providing an appropriate environment for animals - let alone children. Disgusting! :moo:

The park had been closed to the public during the intense searches for Omarion. I don't recall any other person being reported missing from the area. Who else could it be?

DAVISON TOWNSHIP -- *** UPDATE 1:18 PM ***

Khisha Humphrey, the mother of Omarion Humphrey, has confirmed with NBC25's Dave Bondy that the body found in the lake is that of her son.

Oh darn it :( Was so hoping he would be found safe. Fly high little man. May you enjoy your music up above.

Drowning? Or something sinister - someone put Omarion in the lake?
