Do we know "how far" he claims to have gotten in this suicide attempt, and how exactly he says the ankle was broken? I'm wondering if he claims he hung himself and the rope broke, or is he claiming he climbed up on say, a chair, to reach the rope and he subsequently fell and broke his ankle. In the second scenario, he never had anything around his neck to leave a mark.....

This sounds about right for this . He prolly discoved the pain of a broken ankle and backed out of his suicide.

JMO....but I don't think he liked the thought of having to pay child support for 3 little ones...he was in arrears for his oldest already.

I think the suicide was a fake. I hope if he has kille dhis sons he did t while they were asleep. I hate to thnk they had to know their dad would do this to them. I would love to find out someone in FL went up there to get the boys and they are safe.

My ex-sister in law killed herself with a shotgun under the chin, she lived 23 hours but was brain dead cause there was bird shot in the gun. A guy I used to go to school with tried that same way and it only blew off his nose when the gun slipped. He lived but is very badly disfigured. My first husband was shot in his upper right side and LEO ruled it a suicide, it wasn't, but that is how they ruled it.

POLLYWOG I am so sorry hearing about your first husband...........blessings

I keep thinking 4 days, 3 tiny boys out in this lousy weather.
They need to be laid to rest properly.
If JS admitted to murder, when will he be arrested for that also???

As usual, I have to fumble around here. sorry

When was the last time these children were seen by someone other than the father?

I wonder............since he is a hunter, could he have known of a dead hollow tree and did the same thing that guy did in Mt Veron? I have another sick thought. In Ohio, deer season started 11/29, but lots of hunters have a tradition on thanksgiving to go out and site their guns. This would be an excellent way to cover any sound, as well as an excellent reason to be in the woods.

Im running Williams county Ohio scanner, I dont know whats on our official scanner thread. It was approx 6:30cst. The first part was cut off, but I heard ...Federal Agents need................

Weeks said earlier today he didn't expect the four-day search to have a positive outcome.

"Imagine your worst nightmare come true," he said during a daily press briefing.

But Weeks wouldn't say specifically why he had reached that conclusion.

He said comments by several people, including the boy's father, suggested the boys weren't alive. But he wouldn't say what the comments were.

WDIV, Channel 4, Detroit 6:00 news: Search of Skelton home reveals interior trashed; hard to believe that a family lived here. Friend of JS - Hillary - in Jacksonville, FL noticed problems in the family when he attended a class reunion; thinks the boys are being hidden somewhere. JS' sister doesn't think that her brother harmed the children and that family is sticking together.

Someone needs to give that ankle a good yank and twist, twist, twist.

From Jacksonville, FL news:

http://www.news4jax.com/news/25959780/detail.html

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The father of three young Michigan brothers who have been missing since Thanksgiving was charged Tuesday with their kidnapping, hours after police said it's unlikely the boys will be found alive.

John Skelton, 39, was arrested by FBI agents after his release from a medical facility in Lucas County, Ohio, where he had been being treated since attempting to hang himself on Friday.

The boys, 5-year-old Tanner, 7-year-old Alexander and 9-year-old Andrew Skelton, were last seen Friday.

Skelton, a graduate of Fletcher High School graduate, moved to Michigan years ago to start his family. His mother and sister, who still live in Jacksonville, remain hopeful the children will be found safe.

I really don't think it matters that yes people kill themselves with shotguns- what matters is just because he was a hunter does not mean to be a really suicide attempt.

I don't know if he really did try and hang himself or not but I do know that just because you own a gun and know how to use doesn't mean you can't choose a different method of death.

You can look to see if there is a thread in the Crimes forum and if not, start one.
