Thinking of this poor mother tonight, and how Christmas morning will be so empty for her. I was so hoping the boys would be home for her. :(

Thinking of this poor mother tonight, and how Christmas morning will be so empty for her. I was so hoping the boys would be home for her. :(

I'm also thinking of her, and how she must be feeling tonight not knowing if her children are even alive or not. What should be such a joyous time is filled with so much uncertainty. MOO

I keep hoping every day that these boys will be found one way or the other. The dad is evil and just down right mean to do this not only to the kids he claimed to love so much but his wife as well. I still say t is to spite her for leaving him and it is just wrong! I hope the boys are safe some place and will at least have "Santa" tomorrow. Prayers tot he mom and family.

Tanya, you have been on my mind constantly through out this Christmas Eve, both you and your precious boys.

I can't even begin to imagine the pain you are in right now. I wish more than ever your sweet boys were at home, snug in their beds right now.

My thoughts will continue to be with you this Christmas, and always.

Tanya and the boys are on my mind today as well. I visited with her and her parents for about and hour yesterday and just must say that their attitude and outlook give me great hope. Tanya is as sure as sure can be that the children are ok. She knows this from her faith in God. I told her about all the well wishes from everyone on this site. She continues to be so amaized by the out pouring of love for her and the boys. I had a great day after talking with them because you can not help but believe the boys are ok once I spoke to her. I can tell you she has been surronded by her family today. Sadly her grandmother passed away this morning as well. I could only hope to be as strong as her and her family if ever faced with the same situation.

merry christmas Tanya---to you and your three sons. May the Spirit of Christ sustain you, and carry you through this rough time.

I am exhausted (and loving it)from having 7 of my grandchildren here all day. I will have 3 more here on New Years Day. I have 5 more, in two different states, who cannot be here for the holidays this year. This leaves a huge empty space in me. I cannot imagine the pain Tanya feels, waiting for her 3 little boys to come home. I am praying there will be a miracle and they will be found.

There was a case similar to this in Missouri years ago, Lindsay and Sam Porter. Their dad sat in jail for YEARS, only saying the kids were "somewhere safe". Unfortunately, he killed them and finally cooperated with police to find their bodies.

Here is a list of fathers who have killed their children while pending custody or after a divorce. It is quite staggering.

It isn't looking good for these precious little boys, but maybe they ARE alive. We won't know until JS decides to tell the truth.

I wonder how many cases there are where the parent is sitting in jail and hasn't confessed yet.

So sad!

I hope this is a unique case, in that the children really are safe somewhere. Although how sad they missed their Christmas...what an [unusual person ]this guys is!

According to this article, JS was on the phone with TS, when the boys phoned 911 to report him missing:

Boys know to call 911

Skelton prays for her boys' safe return and emphasized that they know how to call 911 - they once called in a false alarm.

They were at their father's home watching "Kung Fu Panda" when he went upstairs to use the telephone. He was talking to her. One of them had noticed their dad was gone, according to a police report, and called 911 because. Ironically, the boys had thought their father was missing

Another update about JS waiving right to preliminary hearing:

Thank-you, BDE.

So very sad, from this article:

Skelton was ordered to appear Jan. 5 before a Lenawee County Circuit Judge for arraignment on the kidnapping charges.

Meanwhile, the family of Tanya Skelton will gather Thursday for the funeral of her maternal grandmother. Irene Cochrane, 90, died on Christmas Day. Services will be held at the Church of the Nazarene, 751 N. Summit St., Morenci.
