Spent my day reading about the boys again. I have continued to think of them. When I go to the local bank and their pictures are no longer posted it claws at me. This case needs new eyes, new input. Where are the psychics? Worth a chance as all other measures has not brought anything. I am trusting the guilty one is getting his fair treatment in prison from the other inmates.

I hope the family continues to put pressure on getting him to reveal where they are.

This case is absolutely heartbreaking.

Missing Skelton boys: Have you seen this blue minivan?

In the early hours of Black Friday 2010, John Skelton took a drive from his home in Morenci, Mich. south into Ohio.

It's believed he made a stop in Holiday City, which is just a few miles south of the Michigan-Ohio border. He was behind the wheel of the family’s blue minivan.

Investigators believe this may have been the last car ride Alexander, Andrew and Tanner Skelton ever took.

I think the boys were already dead before he took that ride in the van. He probably strangled them in his home with the nooses that police found. I think he buried them down in Ohio, but finding the spot will take blind luck. If his goal was to get rid of them across the state line, then he may not have driven very far south into Ohio.

Thoughts and prayers for the missing boys' mother on this Thanksgiving weekend. :praying:

On Nov. 26, 2010, the day after Thanksgiving, the boys' mother told Morenci policethat her husband, John Skelton, was supposed to bring the children back to her. But he never did.

An Amber Alert was issued, and the FBI came to town as massive searches spanning down through Ohio began.

John Skelton's original story was that he gave the boys to a group. This part of the case is still a mystery.

The boys are missing and a group has never been found or come forward. Since then, the father's stories have changed.

John Skelton is currently sitting in a jail cell at Bellamy Creek Correctional Facility in Ionia, Michigan, on an unlawful imprisonment charge.

John Skelton claimed he was trying to keep his boys out of harm's way. The boys' mother was charged with fourth-degree criminal misconduct in the late 1990s for having sex with a 14-year-old boy. John Skelton said she was abusing her own sons, but she said that's not true.

With the help of the University of Montana Anthropology Department and the State Crime Lab, they determined the bones are modern and not archaeological, meaning the bones date from sometime in the last century. They believe the bones belong to three children: one who was about 5-8, one who was 6-10 and one who was 2-4 at the time of their deaths.

Interesting. The article states they've turned to NamUs, but I'm not seeing cases for them. It will be good once we have more information.

Missoula, Montana police found a box containing bones and teeth believe to be from three children back in September.*

*the tenant of the rental property had been evicted the previous week. A cleaning crew found a box in a shed on the property that contained what was suspected to be human remains.

So did the tenant forget about the box?...This is just mind boggling....I bet police found that the tenant had a connection to John Skelton..

Praying for answers and closure....

According to Google maps, about a 27 hour drive from Morenci to Missoula. Not impossible, especially with help.
Do we even know if these remains are definitely male? Like I posted earlier I couldn't find the cases for the remains in NamUS.

I checked missingkids.org yesterday for children missing in Montana who could match 3 missing children of those age groups. Only 6 missing in Montana total and of those 2 are close to the age groups of the 3 unidentified and it's a stretch. I immediately thought of the skelton children. There is a possibility with the age ranges and I would assume LE could tell if all 3 died aprox the same timeframe. I can't imagine they could be from different time periods and all being in the same box although I guess anything is possible. Keeping their mom in my prayers.

This link has a copy of the search warrant. It mentions the unnamed tenant and also a named person who illegally lived in a camper in the back yard at one time. I don't know if we can search on this person but he is named in the warrant. It also mentions the examination of the bones which determined the age of each one but no mention was made if the children were related.
