@Amandareckonwth the live stream is up and running!

Witness says the man she saw the day Venus disappeared was wearing a dark colored baseball cap

Jury is submitting several questions to the witness

Wow, the witness, the neighbor who saw the truck that morning is VERY YOUNG.

ETA: Oh, she's 12!

No questions from the jury for the witness (12 year old neighbor).
She is done.

Short break.

Ok, they are back.

Waiting for the Jury.

I have to leave in a little bit. Anybody want to watch the live stream and "report"???

Here comes Venus' father. :(

Lawrence "Larry" McComb

Says DS was his son in law.
He points him out, describes what he is wearing.

Mr. McComb says DS was married to his daughter, Venus Stewart.

He "guestimates" 7-8 years of marriage.
Says DS and VS moved to VA in the fall of 2009.

Says VS moved back home, the McComb's house, on Driftwood Dr. late Feb. 2010.

Holy Moly... thank the Lord above. Live stream! I cannot watch her parents on the stand, Kimberly, so sorry!! Also, have to deal with my OTR trucking hubby today, so unable to keep a constant watch. I'll check in when I can, though! Have a great (justice filled) day!!

:praying:

Mr. McComb says she is not currently living with him.
Last time he saw her was Sun. night, the night before she disappeared. (April 25th)

Mr. McComb says Venus was sitting in his front room the last time he saw her.
He went to sleep around 9:00 pm, he thinks Venus was still up at that time.

Mr. McComb says he woke up at about 7:45 - 8:00 am Mon. morning.
Dog woke him up. Barking. Doberman.
The dog has the run of the whole house. Also has a doggie door. So, he had a 16' x 32' pen he had access to by going out the doggie door.

Atty is showing Mr. McComb a picture on the projector.
People's exhibit 18 - showing the dog pen.

Mr. McComb says it's a pretty fancy dog pen, and laughs.

Show picture of dog, Mr. McComb says that's his dog "Frank".

Mr. McComb says his bedroom is directly by dog pen.

Yelled at dog to shut up when he woke him up barking.

Thought the neighbor might have come outside, the dog will sometimes bark at the neighbor or another dog.

Thinks the dog was up against the gate barking. Dog shut up when he yelled at him.

Mr. McComb went back to sleep.

Woke up again around 15-20 minutes later. Woke up by the "girls" being loud. RS and BS.
Venus' daughters.

They had the TV on, they are young girls, jumping on the couch, he did not understand why Venus would let them be so loud knowing he was sleeping.
He got up angry.

Noticed Venus was not in the living room with the girls.

Mr. McComb went to look for Venus, not in kitchen, not in utility room or her bedroom downstairs.
He then became alarmed and went outside.

Knocked on the neighbor's door. Ask her if she had seen Venus. She had not.

Venus would not have left her children alone.

After he spoke to the neighbor he went back home and called 911. He reported Venus missing.

He then called his wife and told her to come home.

He went to look for Venus in his pickup truck.
Looked approx 30 minutes.

When he got back home, his wife was home.

"She was in pieces" Mr. McComb says.

Atty showing Mr. McComb another photo. People's exhibit 1

It's of the outside of the home. Driveway.
Truck in driveway is Larry's F-150.

Wife was at work when he called her (Corner Cafe in Sturgis - has worked there for 15years)

She left for work at 5:00-5:30.
She worked every day except weekends.

Mr. McComb is a truck driver but was un-employed the day Venus went missing.

Showing People's exhibit 2

Another photo of Home and truck. Boat is also in photo.
Says that's where the boat is typically stored.

Points to something and asks Mr. McComb what it is.
He can't really see it.
Now showing paper photo.

It's a blue tarp. Behind the pontoon.

Behind trailer is riding lawnmower with a blue tarp as a cover for lawnmower.

Mr. McComb says the tarp was not new. It had gone through the winter.
It had been outside the whole time covering the lawnmower.

He does not remember where he bought it. He thinks it was given to him by his neighbor, Pat.

He thinks tarp that covers lawnmower is 8' x 8' or 10' x 10'.

People's exhibit 10

Photo of propane tank and yard.

Mr. McComb is the person who mows the grass at his home.

Before the day Venus disappeared, Mr. McComb had cut the grass 3-4 days before.

Pointing to gravel.
It goes all the way down driveway.

Mr. McComb made sure no gravel was in the yard the day before Venus disappeared while he was doing yardwork.

That was in the afternoon between 1-3:00 pm the day before.

It was about 50 degrees that day.

On 4/26/2010 when he went outside, the gravel in front of his propane tank had 2-3 spots where it was down to dirt. Gravel was strawn all over sidewalk.
It was not like that the day before.

Another photo

People's exhibit 9

Gravel with bare spots in it.
Dirt showing in sport.

Day before it had no bare spots in it.

That morning, there was a hairtie on the sidewalk.
He does not wear hairties.
His grand dauthers wear hairties.
Venus wore hairties.

Another Photo
Peoples exhibit 8

Hairtie on the sidewalk. He points the hairtie out in photo.

When he left the residence to look for Venus, Mr. McComb noticed a plastic bag that was about 18" square.
It was about 8' in front of the pontoon towards the hedgewillow.(towards the neighbor's property)

People's exhibit 4

Photo of platic bag the Mr. McComb described.

He had walked over to back that morning but did not pick it up.

People's exhibit 15
Another Photo of the bag.
Mr. McComb says it's not his bag.

Mr. McComb had not purchased any tarps around April 2010.
Says it had been a couple of years since he bought a tarp.
