Haven't understood why he's the one accused pedophile who consistently still has defenders on WS. Typically they are shown no mercy.

He was not being accused of possession/production of child *advertiser censored*--he was accused of child sexual abuse. And, while it may be very stupid for an adult to have erotic materials around within easy reach in a household where non-relative children are routine guests--well, that alone doesn't necessarily prove the crime at hand.

I haven't followed all the twists and turns of the various accusations but my personal impression from an interview he did was that he was lying.

I tend to think that he'd have stopped inviting all those underage kids to sleep with him after the first accusations surfaced if it was all just an injustice and a misunderstanding like he said, all perfectly innocent and nothing to do with any sexual perversion whatsoever. Being accused of sexual abuse as an innocent man would serve as a serious warning to stop. But as he kept on doing it despite the acknowledged danger the reward must have been worth the risk for him and it doesn't take much to convince me that it was sexual gratification that he was looking for, especially as he doesn't seem to have had any normal adult relationships.

If the same amount of information was out there about Random Joe, I think everybody would be convinced that Random Joe is a pedophile.

I feel sick. Every time I hear MJ's music I feel queasy esp. when it's in a kid's movie. I hope Disney and other kid's shows & movies stops using his music.

I know exactly how you feel. It nauseates me when I have to be subjected to his music at the grocery store or at the fair and such. My daughter's voice teacher wanted her to perform a duet at the county fair with another younger boy of a Mariah Carey "version" of I'll Be There.:stormingmad: I flat out told her voice teacher that for the first time I was objecting to his song choice and I told him why and that if she performed that song that I would boycott those shows. I stood my ground and he dropped that song. Needless to say, Jackson music is banned at our house and any of our party events!

None that was prosecutable. I consider nude pictures of little boys and boys in their underwear child *advertiser censored*. Not sure why it didn't meet the legal definition.

Also, I believe you can slander and libel the dead without repercussions. Many people wanting to make some money may continue coming forward with 'proof' of their stories or allegations. That does not make what they are saying true or false. People will read the info toward the POV they've already adopted.

After his death, I read a book written by a woman who stated she fully assumed, that, after investigating, (reviewing court records, etc.) she would continue to think he was guilty. Instead, she said the facts she saw made her believe MJ was innocent. After reading her book, I agreed with her. That he was innocent of that particular crime....but that he was completely stupid in leaving himself open to such accusations.

It's been 7 years since I read that book, and I don't remember what it was called. I don't have it anymore.

I came to the conclusion that MJ was living in his own little bubble world and made some stupid choices.

I'd be curious to know what "facts" led you to believe he was innocent. I will always believe he did far more than make stupid choices. He was a manipulator.

I wouldn't be surprised if MJ was sexually abused as a child and became a victimizer himself. After watching the Amy Berg documentary "An Open Secret", it makes sense why we hear stories of child performers having issues with substance abuse and mental illness. These kids are exposed to predators who have very powerful entertainment industry connections, and when they go off the rails they become jokes and are discredited; and some of them died young. It's a vicious cycle.
