I had already speculated that he slit her throat from behind and pulled her head backwards. That would explain the blood patterns on the ceiling.

Blood spatter on the ceiling can also come from swinging the knife and blood flying up off the blade. They did say the attack was very violent.

Would they release a statement like that to throw him off the trail if they are closing in on him? Say, he's really heading north, but they say their tailing him going south to maybe have him "relax and let down his guard a bit"? Not sure if that happens in the mindset this guy has to be in, but just curious.

He seems to have friends/family some type of support going on. So I do think that he's aware of what the media is saying, either by him personally knowing about or him getting updates from somewhere...Heck, for all we know someone is reading here and feeding it to him!

Or even multiple blows with a blunt object. There would be skull fractures probably, but there hasn't been a word from the ME yet.

Sounds like they got a tip on where he was heading either from people on the bus or maybe from a ticket he had purchased. It was stated that the person who turned the sighting in had spent time with him.

Laurean was not in North Carolina, "and in fact (was) some states away," said Brown, who would not confirm the exact location. He noted the suspect was not spotted by law enforcement, and the witness may have spent some time with the suspect.

"I do feel comfortable that Mr. Laurean will be located," Brown said, adding that the evidence in the case "leads us to believe that he would be a dangerous and violent person if put in a corner."

Is that so he doesn't know what they know? Doesn't seem to involve the public much to help out if we don't know what to look for?????

They had the search warrant served on the home by 4:00pm on Friday.
