Provocative thoughts, as always SS. I'm wondering myself what Mrs. had to say when he ripped out the fencing and had a bonfire in the backyard. My hinkey meter is going all kinds of crazy about her.

Sorry for the long post, but these questions have been bouncing around in my mind for awhile. They need to be asked of her and considered here, imo.

   Excellent questions, Seriously Searching.

I can only hope that Onslow County LE has or will also ask her such important questions.

No news of Cpl. or his whereabous ? I haven't turned on the TV yet so I haven't heard any news reports. God, I hope they catch him very soon.

very very good questions SS
good questions for the wife
and good questions for those investigating,
wondering if they have (please dear god say they have)
checked out credit card activity, when purchasing
things like the paint ect.
lots of evidence to be collected and found. where
did all the rags and things he used to clean up go.
lots of questions.
I watch way to much CSI and Law and Order

Sheriff Brown is on Fox right now live.

He said it was the first time he was going to report on what he "believes". He believes that speed (traveling at a high rate of speed) is no longer a consideration for the suspect trying to get somewhere and believes that he is where he was going now. It is going to depend on people now to turn him in where he is. I had to laugh at this comment..."He is where he wants to be." (Haven't we heard this before?! LOL)

hmm so basically Brown has nothing...

Excellent questions SS! I am leaning toward her involvement. I think she was in on the whole thing. If not, at least the cover-up. I'd be most surprised if she wasn't involved at all and is just the most clueless person alive!

I am leaning towards her being involved too..She may have even been the one who planted the idea in his head. Someone helped him because after dropping her car of who drove him home? The wife helped paint the house so did she not wonder why we are painting over all this blood? Of course she is involved..probably couldn't handle another women having her mans baby.

Finally got caught up again. You guys are great.Lots and lots of great sleuthing going on around here  .

Can some one tell me if I am understanding this correctly. From what the Sherriff was saying on NG last night..

That Detective got the case on the 19th didn't know about the rape.Contacted the mother and got info that there was an "incident" on base in April. They wanted to first talk to her roomate(because he lived with her...first place to look really because he would be one of the closest people to her easy access ect) In talking to her duty station they kept getting the run around. The detectives finally went to the Sherriff and told him of the run around they were getting from her duty station.
Sherriff calls the CO of the Base which he found out knew nothing about the "incident" on base. The CO gave them the info of the rape ect which is when Cpl POSs name came up.The CO also put the wheels in motion for the roommate to be brought back from CA.
Thats when Cpl said he would come in for questioning cancelled promised another date and Lawyered up and his Lawyers stated that he would not be questioned.

Is this correct?

SS:

Nothing yet on his whereabouts that I have heard since I woke up at 4:00am.

And who were YOUR neighbors to vouch that you were up at this time? LOL.

I also agree that you asked some very important questions that need to be addressed by Christina. I would also like to ask her father some.

When did your daughter first contact you with any information on Maria's disappearance? What did you tell your daughter to do when she told you that your son-in-law probably (did) kill another marine? I am sure that dear old Dad gave a lot of military advice to his daughter to protect her from any involvement with Maria's death. (meaning any repercussions from the Military) until such time as LE can PROVE that she was involved.

Yeah..he seems like a good ol' country boy but apparently not fit for this case at all. IMO

So what else in New ??????

Sheriff Brown seems like a nice enough guy, but he exasperates the heck outta me !!!! :behindbar

Oh left out that the CO did not know about her being UA/missing either until like when I wonder? When

chico:

Thanks for the new thread!! Is there anyway you can bring forward the other 5 threads??

WOW. I saw the neighbor interviewed last night knocking Christina's story full of holes. They have absolutely no reason to lie about such a thing, whereas the wife sure does. Surely she's being held somewhere, right?!

Greta rocks.

Even though they keep reporting that she's been cooperative, I think that she was either knows more or was much more involved than she's led authorities to believe.

Personally, I think that LE should lean on her HARD. It's possible that Laurean's actions have been an attempt to try to cover up her involvement? If he perceived that she and their daughter were in serious jeopardy due to his actions perhaps it might get him to turn himself in.

Ceeaura~ The Sheriff's outline of LE's and Marines' timeline is difficult to pin down to say the least. Yes, he did say in fact the top tier of the Base did not know about the rape case as this was handled on the bottom level. Yes, the Sheriff did say that because of the Military's holiday status, they could not find anyone to talk to about this case. The name of the suspect did not appear initially and the military had to dig to get it.

The rest of his investigation timeline is as clear as mud to me from that interview.

What if this seemingly innocent wife took care of both of them at different times? He was ruining her life because of his actions previously and Maria was going to make certain her life would never be the same by having his child. How do we know she wasn't calling all the shots in this bizarre case?

Jealous rage could figure into this big time. Another scenario: She actually does the murder of Maria while hubby stands by watching it unfold. He has to help with the cover up. She realizes they aren't going to get away with it and decides he can't be allowed to talk to authorities to finger her...so she takes care of him before writing the note and leading the police on a wild goose chase for him.

Hey, after the cases we have seen...it could happen. Do I think so? No, but until they find him and we can hear his side of it...anything is possible.

I thought it was Maria's father that was military?
