Where did the info come from of the man talking to him at the gas station?

That was either in a newspaper article or a TV article. That was probably right after he was captured, the next morning maybe.

Also the Tallahassee article was one I read,but there was actually people discussing the HH and Huddle House, before this was released as an article.

I am trying to find both of the above.

what do you all think of Hilton leaving the baton behind? Do you think it was an accident, or did he leave it behind on purpose? Also, since the baton was left at the park where she was last seen, then the baton was not the murder weapon. So, what was?

Greta's talking about this now. I must say, seeing him up close on TV he sure looks like the sketch (hatless one) in the Frady case.

According to the Ga official on Greta said the Endres case bears the most similarities up till now. He mentioned some similarities at the crime scenes. I didn't catch all of the details, I thought it was a rerun from earlier in the evening. He also said either Endres or Frady's remains were 6 or 7 miles from Meridith. I didn't catch which.

Gardenmom, he could have used anything heavy: another baton, a bat, a large rock, etc. I think he probably dropped it in a brief struggle or by accident, herding the dog and Meridith into his van.

Jerry in Atlanta, I have been playing post tag with you for days now. You have contacts with the family, and I need some info please. Jerry, she could be anywhere betweeb Blood Mtn. and CunningIMO. I think that she is in a 5 mile area from where made the phone call to his X-boss at the Marble Hill Huddle House, and bought the duct tape and plastic wrap and dog food at the $ store.
These locations are only a block apart, with a 3 hour window. This along with spotting a white vehicle backed into the woods off a large field, 300 yds from a vacant house, 3 days after deer season ended, that would be on his route if he traveled back roads, is why I searched this area Sunday. Without my knowlege, when I called the Tip Line, they informed me the GBI & K9 units were searching 2 miles down river from my location. Officials have much more info than I do, but we were on the same wavelink.
I need to Know her brand of bottle water, If she kept wet wipes, and did she eat or feed her dog “Natural Organic Foods/in a yellow sack”?

Here are a few of the cases that are on the east coast, ie Blue Ridge Parkway, I-85, I-95, I-75, I-77 areas.

If there is a case that isn't on there, it doesn't mean I've missed it... it just means I either haven't gotten to that point, or I'm trying to confirm details. There also might be some that are on this list that have been solved- I'm actually going cross eyed from reading reports, so it's possible that I completely forgot to edit it out.

Any suggestions are welcome, and I hope this helps in some way.

Endres was several miles (6-10) away from Emerson. Frady was a mile and half from Emerson.

The person who called out to Dandy was a woman who happened to be walking by the Chevron and had heard the case and new Hilton from the local dog park. She saw the dog, called his name and the dog responded. Then Hilton came out of lurking...chills...I don't have the link off hand. But I think it's as WSBTV.com.

I've been working on a timeline and got distracted by LDS hometeachers stopping by. I'm not LDS at all (I smoke, drink and cuss). So I'm not sure why they stopped by. But the woman is going to help me by teaching me how to use the church geneology records to help with cases like this one. Cool huh? If you aren't familiar with the LDS Church, they have the largest record database in the world.

Steve (Mr. Allgood) - I think that is creepy; in fact, I think there is a lot of creepy details about this case. No time to explore all of them at this point, but the October 22 date is one that needs further investigation.

I also have to just say about the reports of GBI showing up right after he left the Huddle House - possibly with Meredith in the van - OH MY GOD!!!! Can you imagine how those officers feel? Imagine how WE would feel? If given half a skinny chance, I would be out in the field looking for these bastards that I chase around the net, and if I thought I was that close - and it ended as horribly as this case..... Well, there are just no adequate words to describe how the investigators must feel. I wish I could give them all a hug, and tell them they did their best. God bless all of our officers who ARE out in the trenches every, single, miserable, stinking day.

Here’s some inside info that will increase your rage.

Hilton was arrested in the neighborhood where I grew up in Atlanta. My parents are still there and I have been on the phone with my mom every day to get the latest info.

There are two parks in the area where this guy was arrested, Blackburn Park and Murphy Candler. The Chevron where he was arrested is across the street from Blackburn. These two parks are local parks with ball fields and playgrounds. People go there to walk their dogs, play with their kids, or go for a walk. Blackburn was actually on the short list of parks for the Olympic tennis venue before they decided on Stone Mountain.

My mother has seen this dude hanging out in the strip mall across the street from Blackburn. The locals were familiar with this guy. He had a bad habit of getting into altercations with people walking their dogs in the park, and he has threatened individuals with the police baton that he always had with him.

The guy was a loser drifter, sleeping in his car, hanging around the locals parks acting in a belligerent manner. The local neighborhood was familiar enough with him to have warned residents about him in the local neighborhood watch.

Local police were familiar with him as well, but couldn’t do anything about it, as he had not actually committed any crimes.

What a tragedy.

Oh, just got an IM from Mom. He has been named as the prime suspect of an unsolved murder in Appalachicola. The girl there was killed 2 weeks before Meredith and killed in the same manner.

This dude was on a spree.

The Tedster really started killing in earnest around age 21, though he may have started earlier. He may have killed way more than 40 women. And Ted only managed to elude authorities for a decade or so, all together.

I personally think Gary Hilton was disposed, prone to kill before Cheryl Hodges Dunlap, and that he did kill.

Think about it -- he had 30 years more than Ted did to do his terrible work. If Hilton did begin killing around age 25... my God.

It's a perspective I don't really want to have, you know?

Bundy was born a short distance from where I live.
My aunt's friend was murdered and some are saying that Bundy did it. I do not believe that he did.
