I was thinking the same thing, just didn't want to come out and say it. I had the same thing happen to me but I was 30 and my friend was not married, a prominent wealthy older man. It upset me terribly when he told me he wanted it a few years later. :tantrum:

I'm sorry :(.

I think the way Bri answered the questions, hemmed and hawed, definitely did not want to lie, but it wasn't technically a period and she is still trying to protect Heather's privacy to some extent....if you look at it through the view of an abortion, it makes perfect sense.

Also, if she did have a recent abortion and took a pregnancy test, it would probably still come up positive. Those hormones take weeks to exit the system.

Because she knew Bri would not approve and she valued her opinion of her. Didn't want to disappointed her. Wanted to make her proud.

So lying about SM saying he was leaving TM helps that in what way?

No, the lie was that she actually WAS going to meet him that night. She had no intention of sleeping on it.

@TTF14 What's on second, who's on third!.....I guess I am now officially leaning towards only 2/two being involved. That being SM and TM, they drive together, after HE is killed, TM drives HE car to PTL.

Why has a body not been found???

This faulty conclusion keeps being presented based on a premise that hasn't been advanced - that any perceived room for reasonable doubt in this case equals a claim that the M's aren't the perps. ?

Quite frankly, when the state announced it had DNA! on the tails of searching the Moorer home and making their arrests, and it turned out to be the DNA of the victim from her own car, I wondered if the authorities had seen too much TV and got a little too excited. And then. Nolle Prosequi.

No idea what "multiple strange actions" means to you, but I would argue that it's a sweeping generalization to view people as essentially too lacking in reasoning skills to credibly posit something besides the "obvious". If it was all so obvious, we wouldn't need trials and juries and cross and re-directs.

This case is complicated and while it's easy to try it from our computers, the truth is, we're spectators, much like TV viewers ourselves, and not a jury who is tasked with reviewing evidence and asking, "Does any evidence before me lead me to doubt that's reasonable?" When I refer to doubt in this case, I mean the legal standard and the instructions given by the court, not a belief or fantasy that someone else kidnapped/killed HE.

Sometimes the mundane and simple truth is, someone's dead who shouldn't be, persons in the known chain of events did it, and circumstantial evidence may or may not lead to a united heel-clicking conclusion by a jury. This doesn't mean there's a conspiracy, corruption, stupidity, or too much TV. JMO

Did you watch the entire trial from start to finish live or taped? I ask because all the points you made were very valid. You brought up the part about the DNA mistake. I don't think it applied in this trial, since it was not the murder charge. So, other than that, I think all the things you touched on were very valid points. Given that, if you did watch the entire trial, what would your verdict have been? I will say mine would have been guilty.

I don't understand how we got to this. Oh well. I'll keep wondering.

Thank you, I jumped the gun because I had such a small window of time. I took the test at work thinking nothing was wrong. I remember tossing it in garbage and a coworker asked and I said something about negative being the + sign and quickly realized I messed up, immediately called him and PP. he gave me the money and a couple weeks later I went by myself from work and went back to work after which was a mistake but it was too late. I've never ever told anyone. Wow, just going back in time to 1995.
Poor Heather.

@TTF14 What did you mean by compound? I missed that part.

Couple things

I watched the 2nd bond hearing, def attorney states there was no evidence of HE being in the black truck. Think it was mentioned at this trial.

Noticed SM in Walmart video didn't have wedding ring on, video shows clerks ear ring so I believe a ring on his hand would have shown. Comes back from a trip with wife, everything's good, no ring thAt night, ring on at trial. Does it mean anything dunno

Knit Winter Hat on at Walmart with short sleeve shirt, trying to conceal his face. IMO

TE should have allowed testing on HEs car. To rule in/ out anyone else in the car. IMO

Things that have crossed my mind.

IMO

I don't have a link, but I remember from one of the earlier hearings the state saying they knew through phone pings that on the second call that they actually spoke - from her cell to his they knew she was still at home and he was at his home. Then she left and went to PTL as did his truck. That is sticking in my mind that they knew the second time they spoke that night where each phone was. I don't know if it was the bond hearing? Or some other hearing but I'll look. And I remember thinking during the trial why aren't they telling us where his phone is during that call. And he admitted to speaking to her to tell her to leave him alone. I'll have to look..might take me a while LOL

Heather moved into Bri's apartment during the time when Sid and she were supposedly no longer in touch, just a few weeks before her disappearance, and he was on a long trip with the family. So there's an assumption being made that Sid knew exactly where Heather lived, but did he?

There's also an assumption that Heather knew what SM's new black truck looked like, had she seen it before?

Another

HE leaving notes on his black truck. IMO didn't happen if it had those notes would have been introduced in court.

TE probably didn't want Heather's car tested right away because he didn't want to get her in trouble and unsure of what they would find.

I agree but a mistake IMO

I did not watch the full trial but did catch most of the final day. Bri clearly had things she did not want in front of the jury, that was made clear by her more than once. Me if I had such a great date, I would be like call me tomorrow, it was already going on 2am, after 2am is pretty much a booty call in most locations as not much is open.

The BBM was obvious. I also have a little problem with the abrupt change of subject from Sidney to discussing the date. So, my roommate/friend calls me very upset because her married ex-boyfriend has called. I give her some brief lip service, then brush it off and change the subject.

Also the call was less than 3 mins

I can see that happening, I've had friends that would call and want to rehash the same drama that we've talked about over and over. I think Bri was trying to cheer her up, get her mind off of SM and back on SS, so that she wouldn't have a weak moment. I also think Bri feels terrible that she wasn't in town to try and keep Heather from seeing SM. Heather seems like she was head strong but gullible. I also think SM knew Bri was out of town and this was his opportunity.

I believe SM knew where HE lived and was out on a date that night
