I'm lost. Where did the developmental disorder(s) come in?

Since sermonizing is apparently OK here, I hope y'all won't mind this one because I think it's relevant.

If people look at your words and actions, what would they presume about your children?

If people examine your behavior, what would they presume about your parents?

And vice versa.

This is not directed at anyone in particular, btw, esp not you txvicki. Just hoping that we are all looking at things from more than one point of view, including me.
 
If Misty gets to out of control, do you think she'll be Baker Acted?

LFlorida, good point, but I think we agree from information expressed that learning disabilities are present. This in itself would keep Misty from wanting to attend school. Its the constant sense of failure in life. Learning disabilites goes along with several developmental disorders. I think her self medication and evident low self esteem gives us insight.

If someone saw my kids, I know they would say, what a bunch of nuts! But I love em.:crazy:
 
Is it true or verified that Misty didn't go past fifth grade? That is very young to be wanting to quit school. I'd think most kids would at least want to go on to Jr. High or Middle School and at least not give up or completely rebel until maybe 9th or 10th grade.

Its not natural for kids to quit school in these early primary years. Something was wrong in the home. Misty has been terribly let down by many in her past young childhood. I'm afraid it's happening again now, as Ron should be protecting and covering his wife, and he's not doing that.

Misty being around this Donna Brock and her connections concerns me greatly. I pray coverings over her of protection and may she be given wisdom and understanding, to live the days coming out with strength and integrity. To help in solving the crime upon Haleigh and bring resolve.
 
IMO a mature, responsible, and compassionate adult male who truly cared or considered what became of a girl in Misty's shoes (or the safety and stability of his children) if he couldn't just genuinely sponsor ie help her to further her education or become employed w no strings, at least would've avoided becoming sexually involved w her as a minor, nor put her in charge of playing mommy and homemaker. In my book that's called exploitation. And as we can plainly see a ring in the proverbial pig snout could not preserve this unholy alliance. JMO

The one who Ronald should have been protecting was his daughter HaLeigh (and Jr. too!) but he didn't do a very good job of that so I wouldn't expect him to do a very good job at protecting anyone else. As for the "covering" part - which I take is some sort of fundamental religous terminology - nonetheless, there's a whole lot of "covering-up" going on - does that qualify? :waitasec: I personally could care less about what Ronald is doing - or not doing for Misty (and vice versa). The only two people that I care about are HaLeigh and Jr. I want the truth about what was done to HaLeigh, I want justice served and I want Jr. to have a better chance at a better - and longer - life than HaLeigh had. All my opinion -

I've heard it said that she dropped out in 7th grade, then 6th grade and now 5th... all I know TODAY, in the here and the now is that HaLeigh didn't even make it to the second grade!! I have no tears for Misty... All my opinion -

Kool, not sure about not natural, but if a child, even in first or second grade experiences only failure with no help, I would certainally think it could start much earlier. In fact for a diagnosis of ADD, it would start before the age of 3 years old.
I agree, this Donna B. is not good.

I realize I'm a few days late to this conversation but I would like to add my 2 cents.

I am more familiar than I'd like to be with ADD - ADHD, inattentive type. My son has it.

There is no medical test for ADD. My son had a brain scan to rule out other medical problems, but not to diagnose ADD.

His diagnosis was made via written questionnaires his parents and teachers filled out, similar to the well-known Connors test: http://www.attentiondeficit-add-adhd.com/adhd-connors-test.htm.

As far as ADHD patients being learning disabled (LD), that's a completely separate diagnosis.

My son is not learning disabled. He is, in fact, in the gifted program at school. He has no problems learning, at all. He just has trouble focusing and needs meds to get through the day without getting in his own way.

Misty may have ADD, but she is probably LD, too. ADD and LD are not one and the same.

I knew when she went on the show she was going to throw someone under the bus.I am surprised of who she threw under the bus.The other side of the family.I will say LE has cleared Crystal.NOT MISTY.She has had just too many things that do not add up.Her story actually changed.Why?Mc needs to stay the focus of Haleigh's disappearance.I pray that LE is really doing something to find this pretty little girl and arrest are made soon.
 
My assessment: Misty is capable of keeping focus enough to get through an airport, all the while lying about her destination (really not our business but an outright lie of "I'm not going to NY, no." was offered...liar). She seems able to focus enough to be bright eyed and busy tailed for the 5 a.m. appearance on the show. She appears to focus enough to spin her lies again, trying to trap Crystal.

A liar is a person who tells lies to get out of trouble or make someone else get into trouble. Misty managed both angles.

There is no learning disorder with this child. There is only a budding sociopath.

ITA, trouble sure seems to appear whenever she is involved, at least in recent months.
 
well.I've been thinking and the more I see of misty's reactions and what she says really bothers me.I gave her some slack and thought maybe she went to a party and possibly brought these people home and Misty passed out(Which she is still is responsible with Haleigh's dissappearance there)and someone else took her.But she literally plays the victim and is real good at it.I'm only 17.How much can a girl take?None of her stories match up.NONE and they actually changed why?In another video when MC is talking about Haleighs things around she has no emotion.I find that very very disturbing.It bothers me alot.She now goes on a show and throws Crystals family under the bus.Misty says on this show in my heart I know she is alive.I have heard this before with Casey Anthony.It 's very strange.I now strongly feel Misty is directly responsible for Haleighs disappearance and she may have hurt Haleigh on purpose and someone possibly helped her remove Haleigh.I really pray LE is keeping Misty the focus of the investigation and arrest are made soon.
