GUILTY MN - Anarae Schunk, 20, found murdered, Burnsville, 22 Sept 2013

Sick. So so sick. Poor Anarae. I grow increasingly frustrated with the way some of these young men are taught to treat women. Just my opinion.

Rest in peace Anarae.

Your saying Anarae escaped with them after the shooting in order to reason with him. Getting Shavelle to do the "right Thing" is crazy imho.

I'm saying I believe she left with them voluntarily but then had a moment of clarity and conscious. Which probably got her killed by one or more folks without a conscious.

Enough with the comments that she made decisions that caused her death. She went with him reportedly to get her money back and eventually she was killed.

If she was date raped it would not be her fault and this conversation would not be allowed then either.

Stop.

The problem is that some of these young men are NOT taught how to treat women. In fact, I would bet N wasn't taught much of anything. It certainly would be interesting to know his background from his school years.

So sad. RIP AS! I hope and pray that your killer is kept in jail for life!

I agree that Nelson's treatment of Anarae was horrific and unacceptable on every level--and yet, not only was she actively seeking to be with Nelson that night, but so were 1 or 2 other women?

What did this guy have to attract anyone? No job. No decent car. A criminal record. Father of a child, who I doubt was parent of the year.

Amazing... Low life...

Anarae's bother, Tyson, talked to us after he spoke with the district attorney. "They did not name a suspect in Anarae's--and any foul play in Anarae's," he said. "They just want us to know, be assured, that they're working very hard and they're gathering all the evidence so if there is a criminal investigation, that when it happens, it will be handled professionally."

If someone takes a plea bargain, it will work out, but AS's DNA has to be in his vehicle just from her riding in it. Her DNA will also be at Conrade's apartment. The ex-wife's apartment? Maybe not. Whose prints were on the knife? Of the three I hope it's Nelson's. Sorry, but I think he's scum.

Then, again, maybe we could just lock them all up. I can't see a positive to any of these three walking the streets.

Kinda looks like I'm the only poster. Oh, well...

Note this line in the story:
"Rosemount police say they believe she died at a townhouse where she went with her ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend after they left Nina's Grill in Burnsville early Sept. 22."

From this statement it appears the ex in South St. Paul (Or was it St. Paul) may not have been involved in the actual murder. I'm still confused about the jacket and knife found there, however.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I am glad you are posting. I am just so sick over this case, I have nothing to say, except I hope all the animals involved in her murder spend the rest of their lives in jail.

Justice for Anarae.

The Star Tribune has an article about Nelson's past convictions. Sorry that I cannot read it all, but I am not a subscriber and have exhausted my 5 free articles. If you can get to it, it sounds interesting.

Good article. 2 things new to me. Shavelle told Anarae he was a hedge fund manager when they met. How many hedge fund managers do you know that drive 30 year old Buick's? Earlier I read that Anarae had a plan to get her $5000 back and the plan was dangerous. In this article her friend implied that they, Shavellw and Anarae, had a plan to get her $5000 and it was dangerous. Also a Professor of family and relationships @ St. Thomas said Nelson's and Schunk's personalities might not have been that different, they both were intelligent and liked to take risks.

I wonder if the plan to get back the money was something illegal and anrae tried to back out at the last minute.

Anthony Lee Nelson was just indicted on 2 counts of murder in the death of Palagor Jobi. Ashley Marie Conrade was a witness @ the hearing. Anthony Lee Nelson is currently a suspect in the death of Anarae Schunk and the investigation of her death is ongoing. Conrade, who was charged with aiding Nelson after the shooting of Jobi is still being held in the Ramsey County Correctional Facility.

Omnibus hearing for Ashley Marie Conrade scheduled for 11-19. This is on the concealing charge in regards to the Jobi shooting. This is to see if she will contest the charge or any of the evidence.

Ashley Marie Conrade hearing held yesterday. According to the StarTribune a motion to reduce the bond from $250000 to $150000 was denied. Also the criminal complaint against her was amended, but I can't find it yet. Supposedly a bloody plastic tub was found in the rafters of the garage at her townhouse.
